On rewatching past episodes. Volume 2 ep 11 had doctor Oobleck hitting Zwei to an attack. Here we see he does know Tai well enough to visit, and chat and such. It most likely possible he knew what Zwei could do, and or Zwei smart enough to help too.

Just my theory...but I think the "black bird" seen by Qrow after he killed the grimm is indeed Raven and similar to the Schnee family, they have a hereditary semblance or ability. Both can transform into their namesake birds.

Another point into the whole "Ozpin's soul is inside Oscar theory" is the whole "book about a man with two souls" from way back in volume 1, a book that we thought might be foreshadowing Pyrrha becoming the fall maiden. But as that turned out to be a red haring, I think that it might now be about Ozpin and Oscar. Also, I get the feeling that the whole "portal" and "possibly turning into birds" thing might actually not be just a semblance. It already has been hinted that Raven could do the bird thing also (whatever you think the bird thing is), and we have already had magic confirmed in volume 3. That, along with the fact that turning into animals is very classic magic in my ears (magic people from the folktales I grew up with did it all the time), makes me think that the "tribe" the Branwen's were/are a part of might have some old form of magic with them, possibly the reason they could survive for so long outside the kingdoms. Twins are also usually magical in old folktales, so that might make the Branwen's strange tribal magic stronger than the magic of rest of the tribe (which might explain why Raven is leading them). Just a theory though.

this was such a nice episode with so many questions answered while just as many are raised. Also finally i have a crazy theory that the old leader of the tribe was an Odin inspiration and had Qrow and Raven as his underlings. if true this also makes me think that Nora's parents were also a part of this tribe, some Vikings raiders and she was just a born into it. Her parents could have died raiding Ren's family, as well as his but Ren was captured and taken prisoner by raven. And while captured, Nora and Ren meet, bond, then escape and ranaway. (no parents and no home left to go to)

I like the theory that Ren, and probably Nora as well, is from the same bandit tribe as the Branwens. probably taken in at a young age as, idk hostages from raided villages. If we to overanalyze Ren's body language when he saw the footprint/symbol in Shion, he does't seem too happy as if he had been trying to run away from whatever it is but he knew he had to face it anyhow. Nora to me just looked very determined either to fight or run again. TL;DR my headcanon for now is that Ren & Nora were runaways from the Branwens' bandit tribe.

I think that might be rust on the sink from being rubbed on so much after repeated use. If not, I think paint. I don't think it's blood because the barn itself lacks the facilities and tools of a slaughterhouse. There's no other traces of any blood anywhere else in the barn.

I had the theory for a while that Ozpin, assuming he actually was the Wizard, could only be killed by the combined power of the four Maidens. But if Salem is under the belief that Cinder could have killed him herself (Surely she would know if Ozpin only had one way to die) then that Idea's probably out. But with the way Oscar reacted to the mirror and how Oz spoke to him, I like you had the thought that maybe Ozpin's body can be killed, but perhaps his soul isn't so easily destroyed. But considering that neither Qrow nor Salem seem to have any clue where the Relic disappeared to, it seems more likely that Ozpin is fully alive, and he has just retreated somewhere safe to keep the Relic hidden from Salem.

You cannot get rid of Dr Oobleck, Oobleck is the 3rd best character in the show!

I just had kind of a strange thought. What if "the relic" everyone is looking for is something like a phylactery for Ozpin's spirit or a place that his spirit goes to when he dies until he can regenerate? It could explain why Salem is so keen on determining if Ozpin is dead or not as, if he were alive, having the relic is somewhat less useful. But if he is dead, well, now you have the object that contains his spirit. Ozpin may need help with safeguarding the relic and/or assisting with his re-birth. I think back to the Semblance WOR where it is hinted that Ozpin is "something more than just a man". I also think that the "animagus" theory of the Branwen twins ability to change into birds is false. It was a nice piece of misdirection having the bird pop up right after Qrow jumped down in the Volume 3 finale, but, as this episode shows, I think that crow and the one we see time and time again near Qrow or the girls is actually a familiar of some kind for Qrow. I don't think the one in this episode was Raven as some reactors postulated. There isn't that kind of look of concern like he has when he hears Raven is there in the tavern with him. Just a few random thoughts pinging around in my head.

I can't see Raven and or Crow still being there with the tribe at that time, mostly because Nora and Ren age is close to the same as Yang. So around at the time, Team STRQ must have been around/form. For then Tai to have slept with Raven, though it hard to say time lines for sure.

What do you think about the necklaces that some of the women wear? Raven, Coco, Neo (and i think a few others as well) Do you think they could all be from this tribe of bandits or associated themselves with them in one way or another?

I was suprised by Jaune's cynical comment when on the path but i also thought it was justifiable also People really hate Raven but I think of her seeing people who fight as a warrior regardless of familial ties. Finally I'm reinstating my theory that the Arm made by Ironwood has a built in Ember Cilica becuase I saw little Panels that could open for a firing Cylinder but I'm not getting my hopes as high as last time when I made said theory but I'm expecting it because it's not implausible.

It's good to know after finally seeing Raven in a better light (Maya) that Yang is only going to grown up to be cuter! And theory: Does anyone else believe that Yang may have some more half-siblings around?
