You’d be forgiven for not knowing that the RX 7600 XT is the exact same core as the RX 7600. It’s fully, completely, the same thing. They both have 2048 cores, 32 Ray tracing units, 64 AI Accelerators, and a 128 bit memory bus. The ONLY difference is the XT gets a 100MHz boost clock increase - at least on the reference cards - and 16GB of GDDR6 versus 8GB on the non-XT. That’s it. For that privilege, AMD expects you to pay a full £100 more - the 7600 is around £250 right now, where the XT is £350. Now you can find cheaper XT’s - this Gigabyte OC card is more like £330 - but is that extra £50 to £100 more actually worth it? Well, let’s test ‘em and find out!

rx 7600xt will kinda become next gpu on budget down road enough vram for triple A title for high texture and enough grunt to be 60 fps.

its a good option for 1440p 60hz for sure, with the right processor of course, just order'd mine, coming from a 1070(mini)

I think we will be looking at the RX 7600xt the way we look at the RX570 now. It will be seen as one of the best price to performance card of its day, and will be seen as one of the few cards still relevant after 6 years. Am super stoked to be getting one.

Overkill. 12GB VRAM would be more than enough.

Developers are unfortunately forced to make unoptimized titles. Unoptimized nowadays also means making a game extremely VRAM hungry. For this reason alone I would consider purchasing a 7600XT or NVIDIAs equivalent the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB

it all in the texter loads not fps ....the lower 8 gig card the games just load lower quality texters so the 16 gig card will be better looking even on the exact same settings as the game engins have been updated so they don't stutter when they run out of vram they just simple don't load the eye candy making the game look worse but still same fps

@@lebraa what else is there to know it is a well documented situation how some games used to be a stutter mess with 8gig vram but after game patches they now run smooth and much higher fps but when looking much closer you find the look is not the same between the 8 gig card and 16 gig card even with them getting the same smooth fps because after the game patch you can see that they solved the 8gig vram over flow stuttering problem by having the game just not load allot of the fine details of texter making the game run just as smooth compared to the 16 gig card but when you run both side by side you see that on the 8 gig card allot of the texter details look allot worse than on the 16 gig card .but if you never played on a 16 gig card you would think your 8 gig card is doing great and you have no need for 16 gig when in reality you simply don't know what your missing or what the game is just not rendering just to stop the stuttering and keep the higher fps

Kinda gutted I didn't just get my son the base model instead of xt could have saved few quid lol He does play 1440p ultra wide so maybe he will get wee bit more out of the extra vram

definitely worth the vram because the extra vram will make the textures look much better in 1440p. 8 GB isn’t really enough for 1440p in GPU heavy titles.
