In my attempts to be like the "ying" to Takahashi Ryosuke's "yang," I show you guys how to install the OEM foglights into your FC3S RX7. If you are the lucky owner of an S5 (1989 - 1991) RX7, this will be a very simple DIY. However, any S4 (1986 - 1988) RX7 owners will need to create their own wiring harness and depending on your front bumper situation, drill a couple small holes to mount the lights and / or modify your bumper if you do not have an S5 bumper. The wiring is also not available on the EU spec. FC. So I will have to do the wiring myself. This video helped alot. Thnx.

Aaron Haliena me too! I just need to replace a front wheel bearing, subframe and diff bushings, clutch, and new intercooler piping. Then i can finally drive it on the track. 😅 PS i saw the footy of you, looking good man!

I have an S5 conv. last owner sold me car with the fog lights and their brackets, but not the harness. Is there anywhere I can pick those up without buying a whole new set of headlamps?

Hi Alex, How are you doing? Is this relay the H270 DC 12V20A N.O IMASEN 8D-01? I could not see the part number on the video. I am preparing to install the Fog lights on my RX-7. I will need to rewire because EU spec RX-7 doesn't have fog wiring. Do you have the schematics for S5 fog lights? Thank you.

I'm doing well thanks for asking. If you are starting from scratch and doing your own wiring you can install any 4 pin relay. I only used an old Mazda relay, the H270, so I can directly connect it to the OEM harness and clip. Since you don't have that, you can select any 4 pin relay. In all honesty, you can probably just buy a universal fog light wiring kit, it should come with the relay, switch and everything you need. The only thing you may have to do is find a way to connect the fog light to the new harness (aka splice the OEM fog light wires into the universal harness) and tap into a 12V ignition source. You can see that universal wiring diagram I posted in the video or the OEM service manuals are available for download online. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions!

I went back to you KZfaq video and Mazda manual and saw the 4 pin relay. Now I am looking for a 4 pin relay. A friend is helping with this. I uploaded a video.

You're absolutely right, I am missing it too! lol In 2018, life gave me a punch in the gut, and all other things were put on hold. Things are getting back on track however and I intend to get back to work this month. I still have a lot to do!

Hi Alex I'm having Problem with my fc3s every time I put my foot down it stars bubbling when driving unplugged the amf connection then plugged it back in it start working for couple of miles then again can you make a vid on that please

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by "bubbling"? What is the condition of the wires to the AFM?

Ok what do you think this is restricting airflow through that channel the of the cooling the brakes or negative air pressure causing down force

Eric Wolfe, I don't have the stock brake ducts. Those have been long gone for many many years. So, there is no concern about blocking airflow to the brakes. The aero, however, I do not know how much impact it may have. But, you know, someone will always say something on the internet lol.

I don't think it has any real effect on aero frankly. I remember somewhere someone posted that their top speed with headlights up was only 3 mph less than with the headlights down, and the headlights are much larger than the fog lights and in a worse place for aero (in my opinion). It probably has no effect.

Chris Barbati yeah, and truth be told, I'm not focus on the aerodynamics of this car, it will mostly be setup for mechanical grip anyways.

Sorry for the delay. On an S4 you will likely have to create your own wiring harness or buy an aftermarket harness and wire the lights yourself. You'll also need a switch installed inside to activate them. Meaning running wiring inside the cabin to the switch.
