Meh. Devin haney has done what hes done, but he is not a dangerous fight. You can only give props to Derrick if Ryan outboxes Haney, which definitely won't be the case. If Ryan wins by Knockout, which is likely the outcome, he wouldve done that with anybody, it's not because of James.

If either three of y'all are right, I think if Ryan wins, Errol Spence will be coming back to Derrick James 😁 I think it's important to remember, that although Jermell Charlo should have never been in the ring with Canelo (other than the deserved payday) it was Derrick James that helped Jermell make the adjustments in his TWO resounding rematches.

@barnesartwork8125 What fighter outside of Errol did DJ turn intona champion? I'm not questioning Errol Spence he is a beast and a hall of fame, all-time great fighter. I'm talking about the fact that Derrick James trains all his fighters the same regardless of what the fighter is good at. Derrick himself was just in an interview talking about how all these young fighters fight the same, and none of them have their own style, yet here he is doing the same thing. All his fighters fight with a high gaurd, no head movement catch and shoot style. Also, don't forget Errol was an Olympian and national champion amateur before he turned pro, so he always had talent. Derrick is a good trainer, but I also think he is slightly over-rated. Just my observation.

I don’t think he can beat Haney, but I do see some improvements after training with James. I’m pleasantly surprised, because I honestly have a somewhat low opinion of Derrick as a trainer. At least in comparison to a lot of other top shelf coaches. He was being hyped for a while there. I gotta give credit where credit is due, though. Errol and Charlo had solid careers before they imploded. My gripes with James have to do with him having very little in the way of adjustment advice when the fight isn’t going in the favor of his protégés. He’s not great in the corner. If his plan “ A” doesn’t work, his fighters are shit out of luck. Maybe he’ll prove me wrong.

I believe what wins this fight would be who has the better foot work. Both obviously have some strengths, Haneys technique and Ryan’s left hook power but he’s also slow on his feet. Haney doesn’t have the best foot work either but edges Ryan in that department. Interesting match up.

I DO NOT see a ripped boxer in looking at Garcia. His body should look stronger, more ripped, particularly when facing Haney, a highly skilled and technical boxer. Lots of luck Garcia!

Ryan is actually a really good boxer he never lacked offense he lacked defense and patience I doubt he’ll make the same mistakes and beat Devin Haney he has reach to beat him and Devin never fought a fighter like Ryan
