For those who are throwing shade...you don't understand what he is doing. He is data mining..which the same thing google and facebook does. Having direct access to your customer base is priceless. Why do you think FB and phone apps ask for access to your contacts and browser??? So they can mine that data, and find out what their customers like and sell them stuff. Dude is way ahead of the game!!

This sounds more like annoying telemarketers.
@cursealoud9 жыл бұрын
Frank X Telemarketing sells products the manufactures offer. Data mining sells you products based off your lifestyle. If you like video games, listen to Drake, and like basketball. You will get products that support your liking. Things you didn't even know you had access to.

The most talented artist and musicians never get the shine they are suppose to. This guy is extremely talented but is overlooked because his personal life and persona isn't headline worthy. But he has managed to monopolize on his past work and create a foundation, financially for his artistry. These types of artist are becoming less and less because the public doesn't feel the need to support them and everyone wonders why the music on the radio all sounds the same.

The music industry is structured in such a crazy way that you can sign a major record deal with a major label, but end up broke at the end of the road.

People didn't appreciate this interview... That's crazy!!! This was 100% insightful, 100% valid, but like he said it only sticks with a few. This was a great breakdown and clear concise steps as to what can be done to monetize your Art and own it. In the age of technology it is one's personal choice to be ignorant. Bless the hard workers.

PUBLISHING 101...all these youtube artists tryna make it big. PAY ATTENTION. MONEY IS NOT IN Singing/Rhyming on records. the REAL money is in publishing, residuals and CONTROLLED distribution/data mining. And multiple streams of income. I love that Ryan is trying to smarten up some of these "old heads" too. The face forward parts of the entertainment industry is so off...He's telling yall that there are ways to GET the money you deserve and where talent counts...and honestly its not always on the stage - sadly it usually isn't.

I don't be listening to his music, people be commenting on his weak fanbase. Here is difference between black people and other races. Ryan is like your own Jewish nigga he got the knowledge. He be showing you how to be making money for self monetising what you produce. White people would be still taking seminars from the this guy even if they don't like his music or the venture. black people be cussing him while working for other people saying he ain't hot. learn and build.

It's a Slave Mentality that Black people as a whole need to UNDERSTAND KNOWLEDGE OF SELF to rid of such things. We have been done by the Willie Lynch Syndrome generations ago not to trust one another or learn from anyone that looks like us. It's always Trust what a White man says. Don't believe me though, Look at Dame Dash... They judge him all because of his "Looks" when reality he could be 10X times richer than their Family Tree.. They just go off media and how he comes across when speaking about being "Your Own Boss"... All Black people who worked a 9-5 under a white man had bad things to say about Dame. Yet all the TRUE Hustlers of any RACE period would soak in what he's saying. He's speaking just like the Italians on what's theirs and who gets leftovers after.

I found this link from another video i watched, I didnt plan on watching it but, I am soooo soooo soooo very glad I did. This is something I have been discussing while I do free financial planning for "artists" and people in the inner city that are struggling. So many people look at famous artists as role models as if they are making a lot of money but most of them don't know how to build wealth and only know how to make and spend money. I have bought concert tickets for Ryan Leslie but I want to support even more now.... SOOOOO DOPE!!!

At the start of this interview, I was like - this is kind of the first time that I see RL on a 'commercial' platform and second guessing why he would do this... but essentially, if you do the maths, even if 50% of the 116492 people that's seen this video thus far, put his number in their phone book, and that probably 20% of those that gave his business a call, and probably 10% of those he's actually going to work with... that's 1165 people signed to his new service (thumb suck)... tell me that doesn't make business sense. Gotta hand it to RL, I love his work ethic and his take on the industry. No longer do you have to comply to the system. Rather be smart (i.e. get an education/inform yourself), and create your own system that you can make a living from.

@Debonair7310 жыл бұрын
Ryan systems basically provides you with a mobile app, a website and an online store to sell products and services. It also provides you with all the data analysis information through the mobile app and I guess a website too. It also provides you with telephony services like an number your fans can contact you by voice or text. So you can respond to your fans through a message inbox provide by the service. It's quite a few KZfaq based musicians that have used Ryan's system and it's works. I think at one time he was charging like $45 a month for it but it maybe at a different price than that now. It's nothing really new though especially for people that are use to making a living off the internet. People have seen people do crowdsourcing music projects on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. You have many merchandise platforms that help you sell T-Shirts and other merchandise like TopSpin and SpreadShirt. I guess Ryan provides some consultant services that give you some ideas on what you can do to make money. One thing I will disagree with Ryan on though, it's not enough to have a fanbase but a fanbase that's willing to pay for something from you.

If you don't want to put the work into the investment of yourself tough nubs.
