Comedians Ryan Long and Danny Mullen join the show and laugh about ska bands that had a designated dancer on stage. The guys then take a deep dive into unnecessarily creepy lyrics and the synth production of 80’s music. Adam plays a clip of Boy George and gives a tip on how to get kicked out of a party. Chris then shares some viral videos of Bernie Sanders breaking up a potential fight on the Senate floor, a singer asked to stop performing on a Delta flight, a man terrorizing a McDonald’s drive thru, and Greta Thunberg being interrupted at a rally in Amsterdam.

Good group discussion, great chemistry. Yoko is awful, never got Lou Reed either. It may be an East Coast v West Coast thing. I was born and raised in Southern California as well and find myself agreeing with Adam on so many points and have a very similar world view and some similar experiences. He's one of the most consistently insightful and reasonable people I have been exposed to over the years. He and Dr. Drew were a great team on Love Line.

Adam, fairly new to your podcasts and must say, today was great. I’m guilty as charged regarding synthesizers on 80’s records. I made my career as a session keyboardist in LA in the 70’s and 80’s. Synths changed everything. Without them, I never could have come up with the arrangement for Bette Davis Eyes or the intro/outro of Oh Sherrie or Here I Go Again. Yes there were lots of lame records, but there were some cool ones too. Looking forward to seeing you in Nashville Dec 2. Best, Bill Cuomo

The charitable way to explain the Bob Seger lyric is that hes singing it to the audience who might be different ages already. So he says Woman for the older audience listeners. And Girl for younger listeneners and says OR to be somewhat personable to each.

Yeah, lol, well, dude on the left mentioned a few good ones, but they got talked over. I am also not a big fan of his solo stuff, but he wrote some awesome songs with the VU, but a lot of the thrill with the VU is also knowing what the scene was and the things going on there. Somebody'd have to sit Adam down and explain off air what's going on, and I have a feeling he wouldn't want to listen, hahahaha.

Lou Reed was the heart of the Velvet Underground, a very influential band in music history, and whose music holds up today far better than the Beatles. His solo stuff was equally influential, and for good reason, but you would need good taste in music to see that.

First of all, its THE Evergreen State College. As an alumnus, I speak authoritatively on this issue. Also, you might find it interesting that our mascot is called a Geoduck, which is pronounced "gooey-duck" for reasons...It is the only mascot in the world that is shaped like an erect horse p@nis...pics not included. Also, they were woke back then and are infinitely, insufferably woke now. However, it is the school I needed to go to at the time. TESC: The Evergreen State College.
