Me being me, I’ve dived right in, built a castle and not thought about how I’m going to apply materials to the walls or how to make every corner, edge, ground surface to look rough. Just from watching this vid, I can see it could take me weeks to texture my model (and I particularly wanted to use PBRs as well)! Groans whilst banging head on desk…😬

Nice, quick (considering all the stuff covered) and effective. I like your tutorial style. That said, two comments by the side... 1. Modern technology makes us sooooo lazy. A TV? Just model a box, make an inset for the screen... done! Hah, you young whippersnapper! Back in my time, TVs were huge and bulky and oddly shaped! And we had to carry them home, uphill. Both ways! Through the snow!! 2. I like your style. Really, I do. But that didn't keep me from smiling, comparing it to some other approaches. Also today, I watched a Blender video where someone lamented that Blender's solidify modifier has an error margin of about 1%. And here we see the other way. "Push it here, pull it there... looks good. Aspect ratios of TV screens? Who cares... it looks good."
@RyanKingArt
@RyanKingArt 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I didn't think about the aspect ratio. I guess most TV's would have a specific height and width.

For photorealism, I would use Cycles, because its more realistic. I guess you could use Eevee, if you want it to be in real time, but Eevee isn't as realistic.

Maybe someone will stuck in here like me: Use Mirror Modifier only when > at first add an object > can change the position of the object in 'object mode' > now go to 'edit mode' > now in this mode you can change the size > And now you can apply the 'Mirror Modifier' When you change the size of object in object mode and after that apply the Modifier then it won't work!

"Photorealistic Furniture" - why put this claim like this now i have to comment . UV on middle and bottom shelf should be rotated 90', you always put grains along longer side you know how big tree you have to cut to have rings yours, top and sides are ok. You did not turn "on" auto smooth or set the value too high so flat faces are bulging . You always see connection so you should cut corners not making them from one element. Do not comment the rendering because you claim that the model is photo realistic ;P
