That speech was intense. I feel like I'm one of these lonely losers you talk about that blame other people for SOME things. Long story incoming: This past year I overcame a 8 year long cigarette addiction. I also changed the way I eat making pretty big progress with my self discipline, but here's the downside: I'm jobless and have been job hunting for 6 years and have only been granted 1 interview. However I did get lucky and get a job at a small italian restaurant only because my mom became the manger and had some pull. I started to enjoy the job and there was a girl that I liked there. 2 months later I get laid off/fired for no reason. But the business did shut down a few months after so it was just unfortunate. But that through me back into a depressive state and that crush I had on that girl made it worse. BTW this is all before I quit smoking + dieting. It has been over a year and a half and I've gotten no bites while job hunting. BTW my parents didn't give me a vehicle and it's a "the job came b4 the car" thing for me but nobody will hire. Also I grew up without my dad and only had my mom and 2 older sisters. And both my sister's actually did get handed a car before having a job but me, the youngest & only boy didn't. I'm 23 now. I'm now much happier and it's been over a year since my last cigarette. But my motivation behind it is/was "If I can't be responsible for my life, I refuse to be responsible for my death". I'm now at the point where I'm still jobless & looking & I really just want to start farming, hunting & building things to be self sufficient with my food & work. But all the land is owned here in the land of the free/fee. So I'm just stuck in quick sand fearing homelessness when I'm genuinely a great person that is trying to improve. My home is low income housing. But I have no idea how long the rules & regulations of LIH will let me use their shelter & I have no idea when 1 of these fast food places, gas stations, etc. will realize that I'm awesome. As much as I fear it I sorta like the challenge but its frustrating to see how easy other people I know that smoke cigarettes, drink and take pills recreationally get hired. I used to do all of those things and it makes it feel like all that progress I made was/is for nothing. My sister's still smoke cigarettes and party and have emotional flares because of the ups & downs of $. I feel emotionally fixed but that doesn't matter when your financially broke. I've grown a hate for money and wish I could live without it. I compare it to permission slips & voodoo dolls. Sorry for my long boring story that the crickets will enjoy but enough of that depressing pussie poop, I just wanna say I love you ryback, you are a gift, can't wait for your return to action and I'm a mark 4 life. And if you actually read everything I would like some possible advice even though I'm not sure what I haven't tried... and preferably not sarcastic or obvious advice lol. we're animals. animals eat each-other. i agree, the concept of us drinking cows milk is fucking ridiculous. but meat...fish...come on. I think it's pretty clear we as humans should be eating both, given the deliciousness and the nutritional profile . I don't think meat would taste so great if we weren't meant to eat it. You could be stranded wherever the fuck, kill a cow, or chicken or fish, start a fire with some twigs and throw some meat or fish on it, and it'll be delicious. Wouldn't be that way if we weren't meant to be eating it imo. And we're not talking about cookies, they're good too, but good luck finding that shit in nature. Yes the meat industry has corrupted the ever living fuck out of the perception of meat, but man fucked that up in the name of big business. Grass fed grass finished meat where the cows aren't chomping on Monsanto GMO corn all day...come on. Your body will love the fuck out of you for putting that pureness into your body, in addition to the shit loads of vegetables. It's like people saying soda is awful. yes, it definitely is, 59 grams of sugar / high fructose corn syrup per can...fuck that shit. So now I go on a soda free diet and preach about how awful soda is for you. But it's like dude...there's is a such thing as Zevia. Coke isn't what soda has to be. That's just their version of it. Walmart meat and mass produced supermarket meat...vegans are right to want to give that up. But there is a such thing as an alternative to that and a options to consume meat the way it was actually intended to be eaten.
