Yes! I actually did a small hack with my scissor jack. Lost the piece that you connect so you can manually spin it to lift. So found a thick allen wrench and shoved it on my Ryobi 18v driver that fit perfectly on the jack. It lifts the car in seconds (small Mistubishi Lancer). It would be awesome having one

I used to be a tool snob. As a hobbyist, home DIYer, and a "I can make that!" lady, Ryobi is not only affordable, it's a creative company and I absolutely love 98% of their tools. I think too many people get caught up in the "what's on your tool bench" drama, instead of being cost affective and choosing the right tool for the job. I personally can't see spending twice as much for the same result, just to put more money in the pockets of execs of Milwaukee or Makita... I'd rather buy more tools. 😜 Thanks for another great video.

I am so proud of my beautiful RYOBI tool selection. I have a bunch of them, plus a bunch of batteries and chargers. My boyfriend buys them for me because I do all our work, yard work and repairs that I can do without calling in professionals, but now we are at a point where I bow out for a bit and leave it to the pros, as they put on a new roof and we have more work that needs done that I have no expertise in. I'd fugitup. We gotta gut our bathroom and start over. It's 70+ years old. I've cut many trees with my 10" chain saw and pole saw, and I even learned to sharpen my own blades with my Dremel 3 pc sharpening tool kit. one for lawn mower blades, one for chainsaw blades, and one for loppers. I love Ryobi and Dremel. Especially the color, and None of these brands are made in the USA anyway. Only complaint I have is I get knuckle busters every time I try to remove the battery from my leaf blower and My chainsaw leaks to high heaven which is common, I understand, for Ryobi chainsaws. I can't bring it in the house like my other beautiful tools. I have the ratchet. It looks exactly the same, brushless, but mine is only 3/8". Isn't that what adapters are for? Mine is pretty new and has come in handy a lot. I love your show, but haven't been able to watch in a while because I got diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, so I have been here educating myself about the lungs and disease processes. My lawnmower is better than any gas one I ever owned and even better than my 12" path reel mower because at a certain time of year animals dig up my yard then the reel mower can't get any traction, plus, it can't handle Foxtails. Wild chickens, wild roosters, and my cats dig up everything. My Ryobi mower is still my favorite, although, my bag from my Ryobi mower looks like a wall of Foxtails. No getting them off there by the millions without fire, but that'd burn up my bag. :D I also love my Ryobi brushless expand it string trimmer

@@shanerogers787 To be honest, yes and no. The thing that really holds it back is the filter. It sucks and plugs easily and quickly. So I 3D printed an adapter and cut an Intex "A" filter in half and put that in there and now it's freaking awesome. Runs a long time and I don't have to keep stopping to clean the filter. The battery life isn't bad, My 18 foot round pool usually eats up 2 of the 4 bars. It also came with the wirelss hang up charger. So it's always ready to got the next time.

Yeah Vice, I completely agree. Ryobi comes out with some unique stuff to run on their batteries. Who would have expected a tool battery powered bug zapper? Some of their stuff is pretty good. When one of my rentals flooded because the city’s storm drains were overwhelmed, I went with the Ryobi pole pump instead of the Milwaukee M12 stick pump. If I remember right, the specs were a bit better on the Ryobi, and it actually outperformed the claims. It pumped more than the 15 gallons per minute and the crappy little battery that came in the kit lasted longer on a charge than they claimed. I’m happy with it.

I own many other cordless power tools and Ryobi is my favorite. I program and operate a robot at my job that assembles jet engines for various establishments like the Air Force, NASA, etc. This company has Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, etc. I can tell you that we rely a lot on Ryobi. My impact has 1,200 releasing horsepower to break loose any bolts. this company that I work for is located right near a Home Depot which delivers most anything we want. PLUS Home Depot is open after 5pm where Snap On and Matco are NOT. Home Depot is even open on weekends. I have used tools that MOST people have NOT used and I can testify that Ryobi has NEVER let me down. I even operate a waterjet that used 90,000 psi to cut through thick stainless steel, We even have plasma cutters just in case. and we have flash cutters to cut graphite gaskets. Ryobi has hung with the best and did great. I had a DeWalt that after 2 chargers it would not take another charge. Hate Ryobi all you want...but they just came out with a 8 amp battery that it is hard to buy.

But he said they didn't come out with one. But yeah if you stick dead or week battery in it then yeah it sucks. Dewalt all so has a 20v ratchet with swappable anvils

I wish they do something for the drywall guys (me), it would be amazing having a Ryobi 18v HP airless texture sprayer or a Ryobi 18v Sheetrock Nail Gun (I know they don’t exist but…. A great idea *aaaawink*), Ryobi 18v Telescoping Drywall Sander (with Shop Vac hose inlet) ok…. I ran out of ideas.

I’m a DIY’er. I’ve been using Ryobi for a decade. I do my own carpentry and woodworking, and use Ryobi for all of it. I also use Milwaukee for all my automotive, power sport, and power equipment repair. Wanna know the main difference between the two, for me? I’ve lost 3 Milwaukee batteries (2 M12, 1 M18) due to quality issues. So, technically speaking, my Ryobi stuff has actually been better for me than my Milwaukee stuff.

My question is will it ruin your battery 🔋 life if it does it does nothing positive if I have to buy batteries more often just to charge up the battery of my car

As a mechanic I could literally care less about this tool for many reasons. But the primary two would be: 1. As far as electric ratchets go, i only REALLY need ONE size, not 2 or 3. And that size is 3/8". It is VERY rare where I need to use either 1/2" or even, and especially, 1/4" socket with a ratchet.. literally not even every month. And that's with working on multiple cars daily! And in the very very very rare event that I do need to use one, then I just use an adapter.. the kind of adapter that I can buy in just about any store, even Walmart. Good luck trying the same with those Ryobi adapters.. 2. I have no idea why some tool makers think it's a good idea to slap a humongous battery perpendicularly to the tool itself on a tool that you often need to stick deep deep deep into a cravice, such as between an engine and a frame, in order to reach and unscrew a bolt or a nut. Tool like this is simply not good for those situations

Make one for the 40v batteries with enough amps to crank up a 6.7 diesel and I'm all over it. I already have a smaller compact one that does the trick on my wifes suv.

Ryobi has always been innovative. Not every tool was a success but they don't mind trying. I will definitely get the jump starter. I have used Ryobi tools professionally since 2000 doing HVAC installs and service as well as building decks and sheds and other misc work. I use them at home as well. I have had very few complaints and all but one of my tools(radio) still work. My next purchase will be one of the new framing guns. Vince, please review the framing nailers.
