Just a quick honest review on the battery 🪫 🔋 life for the Ryobi 40v backpack sprayer compared to the 18v version.
I enjoy Ryobi products, they are very reliable and perform stupendously, to say the least. The ONLY reason why I upgraded from the 18v to the 40v was for future Ryobi purchases. I enjoy knowing that there’s over 200 tools in the 18v line but I don’t need those smaller tools quite yet. The 40v system on the other 🖐️, has all the #christmas gifts I can ever ask for😱!
Get to the point man!!
So my plan was to have one charger, several of the same batteries (40v) to interchange them between the various equipments in the same lineup. But I think 🤔 I’m going to go back to the 18v backpack sprayer and in the near future purchase the 40v String Trimmer and Backpack leaf blower.
I am ECSTATIC to try those out!!! Stay tuned.

Thx for the video and info👍 How far do you think they spray in a solid stream? Trying to rinse solar panels with distilled water after washing.

So the 40volt doesn’t have a more powerful stream or spray farther?

If that’s the case, then why bother with 40v? It is more expensive than 18v

Reliable must be subjective. Their hoses suck something crazy.

Yes, unfortunately lol the hoses are ridiculously cheap in quality!

How long has the 18v lasted with constant use?

11 months, daily use. The hose is the first to give out (burst) and then the gun handle gets stuck and becomes incredibly difficult to work with. But it’s a great backpack sprayer.

So what’s the difference? Is 40v stronger more heavy duty?

Great question!.. No, the 40v is NOT stronger than the 18v. I believe it’s just what voltage system you lean towards more. I would just stick with the 18v if I were just adding another tool to the shed. I tried out both for you already and the 40v is just ok if you have other 40v Ryobi equipment.

Do they come withvthe same attachments for the wand?

No. Same wand but not the same nozzles. The nozzle attachments for the 40v are constructed a bit better. But the 18v isn’t necessarily cheaper, just simple. So yes. Not a purchase factor for me tho!
