Great video. A lot of the comments address some of the other hidden bolts. Pretty easy job. Not for anyone with a weak stomach. Took me about 2.5 hours.

Just finished last night, about 3 hours. One thing to add is that there are 2 10mm bolts going up through the dash underneath one is on the far right passenger side and one is about in the middle attached to a tubular bracket. Remove those 2 bolts and the dash will pull back and up enough to get everything off and on. May need to pull pull the radio cover too to get to all the bolts on the cover.

I have a 96 Blazer and was told they had rip dash out, recharge AC and the cost 1200...I am going to try this too. I mean my part is 40 bucks...Thanks for sharing.

At 3:29 the heater box looks to be broken apart due to the access of getting it out..... Just an observation....

@billybadazz11 Yes there were a couple years there where the s-10 had a small Tahoe badge on it's glove box.

In the video the guy forgot to show how to unclamp the two hoses from the heater core, my dude is working on my 89 chevy blazer s10 4x4 4.3 and my blazer has a 7 inch two hose gap deep that is hard to get to clamps. lol that is nothing but trial and error and it takes a lot of time.There is a lot of missing key details how to complete the heater core removal and replacement, other than that, its a great video..

@JBlinky67 yes it is an s10 most s10's were either tahoe edition or durango edititon until 95

Still a fucking pain in the ass. I just got the shroud off and there are 3 bolts that are almost impossible to get off and I dont know how I will get them back in. The shroud is also a very tight fit and does not just come out easy. I may still need to take the dash off or at least loosen it and pull it back a little. I would like to see more of the video showing you putting the shroud back on.

The most imortant thing to do is take out the dang seats and have a good way to clamp a light that shines on the bolts so you can have both hands to get to where you need.

@JBlinky67 tahoe, durango, baja, sierra, sierra classic and gypsy were all trim levels of the s10/s15/blazer/jimmy.... weird named trim levels, my 91 ext cab is a tahoe, which means it came standard with carpet instead of rubber floors among other things... they made full size blazer k1500 in the early 90's, with a blazer badge on them, then they were renamed tahoe k1500 in 93 or 94 and the s10 tahoe trim was renamed to "s10 tahoe LT"

@JBlinky67 with everything u said ^ y is it that i have a 94 s10 blazer and the lil badge on my glave box door said tahoe just like his? a 98 is a round body they stoped the tahoe badges when the box body ended they also put it on s10 trucks

So this should work for 93 extended cab?

@brg321 yes it is the exact same but its is a pain in the ass so thats a normal price.The first time i did this it took over 4 hours.

I am just about to do this on my 92 s10. I re-plumbed the lines a few days ago and took the heater core out of the loop so I could still drive it. Now let's see how this goes. It will be cool if I can do it with out pulling the dash.

I drive an 89 s10 and my AC has needed to be serviced but with winter here my defroster used to work and now it doesnt blow at all, ive got no vacuum leak, and im wondering if replacing the core will help or if you could offer any advice, or if i should keep troubleshooting

i have a question where do the heater core hoses lead to mine didnt have hoses to begin with and i have no idea where they go

do you know if this is the same for the first gen s10 extended cab with the same engine?

lol you do have to take the dash out. its just the wrong year. from98-03 (round dash) you have to remove the dash. well the dash actually tilts. i had a lady force me to replace the heater core. even tho i told her it was not the problem.

Did you have to Drain the car of fluid to take out the heater core?
