I worked for Prouts for Ten years building the 45 was my favourite cat you have a great safe boat enjoy.

Great tour and a beautiful boat. One question about the bar. Now, when you did this tour, it was before brexit and you can take however much liquer you want within EU, but say you went to a country outside EU, would you have to declare all that liquer and pay customs and sales tax on it? Or is that something they dont bother about cruisers as your just stopping briefly? Cheers

You probably have Prout Magazines from when this boat was launched, they featured Zarafet through its first passage.

Yes we got a lot of clippings and original brochures with the boat makes for quite an interesting story. How do you know this?

@@SailingZarafet Way back when Prouts were around we had a Prout 31 and used to receive their annual news letter. Owners of Zarafet used to send in articles and pictures as they travelled through. Unfortunately Prouts folded around 1999. We have also owned a Prout 39 and like the design. But as we were not going to go offshore we scaled down to a later model 34ft cat which is more suited for local cruising. Zarafet seems to be a nice catamaran, all the best with it.

I have seen them listed circa 175k GBP depending on condition on a few brokerages. I hope you find what you are looking for. We have a lot more photos on Instagram and Facebook for reference.
