The episode that solidified the ol’ LWT Geographical Switcheroo. They enjoyed deploying it in the previous episode so much and said “let’s see if we can consistently make our viewers sweat every time we identify a location on the globe.” Fast-forward to present-day, and I still require a second source any time I see a map.

Unfortunately the arguments for elected judges only got better with time. Now we have, not one, but 3 SCOTUS judges to be mad about because they were appointed. This episode really has aged like the finest gourmet milk.

I like how Loughry's ad was so cheap, they didn't even actually have cookies. They just used a picture. Hilarious that a guy running an ad about justice was eventually tried and convicted of fraud, wire fraud, witness tampering and lying to federal investigators. I guess he meant the justice that would eventually beset him.

Why did a Greek politician refer to the character as Ulysses? That's the _Latinized_ name for Odysseus; people in general are more familiar with the name Odysseus, and it's very weird to hear a Greek politician use the Roman name for a Greek character.

Might be because he's speaking English and there's a famous book in that language (though written by an Irishman) called Ulysses... so that's probably where he got the idea that's the name people will be familiar with.

The pink bus thing is ridiculous because if they had just put out a bland apology and been like, “We now see that our attempt at inclusivity was poorly implemented. We did not fully consider the potential negative connotations of our bus and we sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by it. Going forward, we will be more mindful of our messaging strategies.” They could have saved face and possibly even won over some voters by proving that they are willing to listen to their constituents. But instead they pretended not to know what colors are? Why?

Looking back this reminds our and by extension my problems today are so much worse than 10 years ago. This is what I suggest you do go back and start watch from 2016 until now. I think it is a lot pinker in person. The colour will have been optimised for in person viewing not tv screens. It's the inverse of older f1 cars, they were optimised for TV making the red ferraris a lot closer to orange in reality.
