I bought my '01 in December 2010 and got it SUPER cheap from some kid who was going away to college and already had a sick ek hatch with a b18c5 turbo, so he had to sell it... He wanted 13.5 but I ended up getting it for ~11k cash...haha, 9 grand in 50s & 100s. The rest was all 20's...Its what he asked for so had the bank break it down into stack of a couple grand or so each. The staff at the bank knew me, so they didn't blink an eye when I withdrew the funds. but the kid thought I was a drug dealer or something so he insisted on counting every single bill. It took him forever. I just remember pulling up in the lot to meet him and seeing my new, gorgeous moonrock s2k sitting on custom built, 3pc. white work equips. Wheels I wish I never sold. Getting in that thing and driving it for the first time felt like I was purchasing an nsx or supra or something. An awesome awesome feeling. My first true sports car. I knew I would've kept it for the rest of my life... Unfortunately in late November 2013 I had a freak accident where I hit a patch of gravel as I was making a left turn to merge onto a hwy from a red light. It was totaled. THAT was one of the worst feelings. Esp. after Having sunk so much money into it. It kills me to think about it. What's worse is the motor only had 53k miles on it at the time of the wreck Someday I'll have another one. Especially now that I live in socal. But yes. They are awesome cars. Just very "snappy"...aka tail happy..

Yeah it's not really good for the transmission, but it helps you reach those higher rpms easier lol

The gauge is a PLX multi gauge. It's connected to my wideband O2 sensor.

It has a 9000 rpm redline. The tach is programmed to flash around 8000. I was probably shiffting right before the fuel cut.

R Kely P N on U it's a Honda. When do you ever shift before redline? Your peak rpm normally isn't more than 1k rpm from redline and for this car, vtec doesn't kick in til about 6k rpm. This car must have a flash tune or k tune on it cause stock ecu won't let you rev like that

+Vinny Vang it does pull pretty good. It's just if I was to dump the clutch it would spin. I just did an ease into it kind of pull. This car is way faster than the oem set up. No ,I don't really care to drag race it. I like more of the road race set up. Too bad there's no race track near where I live. Thanks though.

+Vinny Vang yes I think for sure the exhaust I chose is choking it. I mean it helps to have a test pipe ya know but, the diameter of the exhaust pipe might be restricting. I chose this set up to not bear with the loud sound cruising around. I really wanted a 70mm or a single j's racing one. But maybe sometime down the road when I get another normal car to drive around. This car has more potential than what you see. I can feel it. Heck with my dyno vid you can tell it wants more. Time will tell haha. What year is your s2k?
