Is Jada responsible for her husband's actions? Are we responsible for our husbands' actions? No. Did she have influence? Do we have influence? Yes.

I noticed that he thought it was funny but she didn’t laugh 😂. That really supports the point you made about the fragility of their ego. He was paying attention to how she felt about it.

I've binged all your videos over the last few days and I was staying away from this one just because I have other views on the jada/will drama, but I'm glad I ended up watching it. I knew the end of mine and my exes relationship was a lot of my own doing but I also blamed him for his part. But I'm now understanding how much of what I did caused the ultimate destruction of him and with that our relationship. If I had had a relationship with God at that point I would have understood and respected my exes choices. I truly wish I could go back and do things in a better way, through God. One of my greatest regrets will always be ruining our relationship and having my children not grow up in a single home that is lead by their father and care for by their mother.

Growing up watching my mom blatantly and purposefully belittle my dad in front of me and other people, made me hurt for him in ways I’ve never felt since. He would sit there silently and take it until he would eventually explode and my mom would use his anger and hurt against him even further. I vowed to myself as a child that I would never do that to my husband. Now as a wife I try my hardest to respect my husband in every aspect, even though I fail sometimes. Even the smallest jokes that I think are harmless can hurt him and he is not an emotional person. My dad passed away in January and I was so relieved that he was finally free from her disrespect.

I agree but the man is also the head of his household. What behavior he allowed into his household is ridiculous and ungodly. You reap what you sow. Look at the fruits of his marriage, two confused children and a dominant wife that controls his emotions by playing with his heart strings. All of this, because of what he allowed to take place in his marriage. Give the enemy a inch and he will take a mile……..

True but she isn't trying to put the blame solely on Jada, it's just that we're talkin about wives and she is one so that's why she's a perfect a example on why we should be mindful as wives. When a woman has a mans heart he will try to please her even if it's something ridiculous as an open marriage he was too lenient I believe if he had God in his life he wouldn't be in this situation. Unfortunately not everyone is lucky. he was truly a man with promise and now he is reduced to a mockery I do somewhat feel bad for him in that sense but as you said you reap what you sow and you're 100% correct

Apart from your connection to the Smith drama, your points are excellent and right on. We have so much influence in our marriages, and many of us do not wield it well. The drama with "the slap" is just that--theatrics. Something else for the public to talk about instead of the important things that are happening in the world. "What profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul." These "celebrities" gave up all kinds of things--purity, integrity, decency--to gain the wealth and same they appear to have. Watch out, church. 👀

I really appreciated this video. You mentioned finances/ wealth as the buffer for a broken ego, and brought the example back to regular income earners. It looks like you have a nice house and simple life in comparison to some women who are say living in poverty or living on the streets, whose characters are being tested with immense adversity as they relate to their husband's. So, I really do appreciate your wisdom to be inclusive of women who are poorer than wealthy couples, by explaining how finances can affect a pooeer man's ability to regain a sense of himself and how it affects the woman. You're one of the first women I have come across on KZfaq who lives in a nice house and thinks wholistically about the interaction of people and money as far as spiritual principles goes. In this case, reflecting on the challenges that women living in less than comparitive wealth, face when dealing with their spouses ego. God bless you.

Love this message! 💖So much truth in it. As females and wives we must be more responsible with the influence we have with our husband's. Even in a dating relationship, we must not use our influence to tear down the men in our lives. If we continue to emasculated our sons or the men in our lives we will answer to God for that. I have been guilty of this in my life and have had to repent of it. Now I'm committed to teaching my daughters from my mistakes.

I didn't carry myself with discretion and dignity. I was so angry and going to sleep on that anger grew deep and rooted and produced such bitterness. Hurt from my husband I chose unrighteous behavior over comfort from Christ. My behavior brought such suspect upon my faithfulness and shame on my husband. I would do anything to go back and talk to my younger self. I would tell myself that I had to forgive my husband or I would sin against God and hurt my husband and at the end of the day I never wanted to bring shame to my husband. Ladies if you hold on to unforgivness you will dishonor your husband. You can't walk in Christ with a hard heart. My husband never repented for the things that I clung to but it doesn't matter that is between him and God. I wish I always walked in good character and I wish my husband's name was still spoken well of at the gates. His hurt ego didn't bless anyone.

I will be editing my comment as I listen, and think you're right about his pride being broken. Unfortunately, it was Jada who introduced the idea of sexual openness within the marriage. Will wasn't for an open marriage. He was more traditional, but Jada wanted access to other people outside of the relationship, so she convinced him to participate in it. Will is humongously sensitive to the point of being controlling concerning the image his family portrays.

At the same time if you torture any being animal or human, when they have had enough 💥… it’s enough. Rather than further crucifying him for being human it’s good to see a perspective that shows grace. He chose this wife and is trying to honor marriage be staying with her. I can respect his continued efforts to take his rightful place even if he doesn’t know where that is exactly.

This is the perfect time for the church to show what compassion looks like and possibly win him over to the forgiving and loving grace of God. He was wrong but still deserves the same grace that Jesus died for. Moses acted in rage and murdered someone but through grace his genealogical line was preserved and through grace I can be saved because originally only Jews could get into the kingdom. I understand what your saying and I agree with some of it, I also think that a unhealthy ego and pride is something that needs to be worked on and an external individual cannot blamed for that. I also believe this works both ways a husband and a wife can have influence on each other’s growth and lack there of. Us as wife definitely need to be more sensitive to our husbands pride and how he feels about himself however when it is something unhealthy that would need to be addressed because many men do unquestionable things because of there ego and pride some married and some are very much single.

I totally agree with you, but in a related issue, I wish to point out something that took me years to figure out and I was blaming myself. A wife can do everything right and a husband who does not have a Christian outlook will only see her as a pushover. I have seen women struggle to be a Godly wife for years only to be treated with disdain. Only a Christian husband is won over by feminine traits like submission, modesty, generosity and hospitality. Of course, we must 'do everything as to the Lord' for this reason.

@@oodlesofdoodles8389 I understand your point and here is the verse: 1 Corinthians 7:16 : "'How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?" As you can tell it is an open question. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes no. But the Bible encourages the born again spouse to pursue righteousness either way. And it is a fact that non-Christian husbands can absolutely despise/hate their wife because of their Christianity (as well as the other way around). That's why being unequally yoked is so NOT recommended by the Word and people who have been in this unfortunate situation

And no matter how much money they Will and Jada Smith have, no matter the millions of dollars they have because they sold their soul and they don't have Christ none of it matters.

Thank you for mentioning about our influence on the husband. I think of king Herod and Herodias his wife.

A man's pride is sensitive in terms of his awareness of it. Not sensitive in begin fragile.

I would put this on Jada if Will Smith had not condoned the open marriage. But he did. So this principle of wives reflecting their husband is moot. Because she did reflect her husband accurately if he also agreed to this sort of marriage. Jada understood she wasn’t breaking their agreed upon arrangement, so she wasn’t taking him down, she was doing what they both agreed to. If he knew he would be embarrassed should this come out, they should have both had a talk about if they should even be doing it to begin with, but you can’t put it on Jada If she was operating out of a mutual agreement.

@@sakuraesther6309 I think both decided to married for the wrong reason, Will knew deep down he couldn't compete with a man like Tupac, but once he passed he thought excellent this guy is no longer in the way of my dream girl, she'll forget him, but in reality she's been talking about him for years, to the point that their daughter at the age of 6 wrote a letter for Tupac to comeback so her mom won't be sad, in Jada case she saw a "nice guy aka boy next door never got over her friend...so it manifest it self which I think grew into resentment towards Will and his success.

I've been writing about modesty for years. I'd love to be one of your first customers. I'm having some issues with the man I was supposed to marry. We both made huge mistakes and broke up a year ago. I STILL love him and I know he feels the same. We are both getting excellent Godly counsel. Our Pastor thinks we should marry. I want to reconcile and I reached out to him. No reply. I definitely emasculated him but it wasn't intentional. He was insensitive to me but it wasn't intentional. Pray for us!
