S302 (now essentially scrapped after an electrical fire) P18, P17 & S317 leaving Tocumwal in October 2021 crossing the Murray River paddle steamer lift bridge at Tocumwal which is technically in new south Wales but no longer connected to NSW infrastructure.
The bridge originally built in 1895 is the oldest lift bridge on the Murray River, once a road only bridge became a rail/road bridge in the early 1900s, designed to lift to let paddle steamers traversing the Murray River to move freely under it.
A road bridge was has since been built and the bridge is only for rail and pedestrians now days.
The last lift Of the bridge was Easter 1995 but it was officially closed for lift operation in 1977.
