Don't use glue - use small tie wraps (cable ties)to hold the clutch plate to the pressure plate, then cut them off when it's bolted down.

@@The777Garage I made the clutch alignment tools by cutting the input shaft from a scrap gearbox. I'm not sure what cheap gearbox has the same splines as a Getrag 420G though.

5 speed is 10 spline. 6 speed is 22 spline

The way I see it is that the lovely S62 comes from an already perfect car: The E39 M5. Taking one of these off the road to upgrade the E31 is not ideal.

Молодець!!! Getriebeseite - it's for Getrag gearbox 😂😂😂, and if you have a ZF gearbox, then the writing on clutch disc will be - Zfseite 🤣🤣🤣 (Hope you understand my joke ) P.S. At least I see the E34 at your chanel 😉😉😉

Excited to see this car complete. Very happy for the owner as he'll have a unique unicorn "molested" example of an E31 🤣 What's sad is you know so much about these old BMWs and it's the equivalent of knowing Victorian medicine because the engines of today and the EVs of tomorrow just aren't the same
