Why not go for a dual sheer selector rod (dssr) after market. It will make your shifts tighter.

Hello Ed, what would an approximate price to have both sills completely replaced on an extremely rare E39 528i Manual Touring be please? I think mine are on the way out!

@@The777Garage Because Manual E39 528i Tourings are rare and hard to come by nowadays, plus my one was owned from new til 2016 by a Portuguese Diplomat living in London.

Ed what did you do for vacuum as the e31 is hydraulic and the e39 took the vacuum from the booster?

I spoke to one guy that did the swap he said they block the line off but I think the car rely on vacuum but I’ll check it out when I get to that bridge.
