It was Sabalenka Vs Sabalenka. Either she played well or she lost her focus. Sloane played a very poor second set, her body movement was pathetic, she was up 40-0 at 4-4 in the second set, and then played out a series of unforced errors to lose that game and eventually the matches. Can’t believe she won a grand slam once.

Every player has a plan and a strategy for a match. Ms.Stephens' plan, I reiterated a couple years ago appears to be to hit balls that come within HER zone. She ain't planning to run down and stretch for every ball. Okkkayyy...but that means what does come within her strike zone must have an extremely percentage winner statistic and what if her opponent starts to hit more low percentage shots outside her strike zone? Analytics and AI in how to play each opponent would show her team that they have a low stakes run.

They should add a rule that if you are still screaming when the ball passes over the net towards the opponent, then you lose the point. Screaming will stop after 1 match. Winners - Unforced Errors Stephens: 5 - 19 Saba: 24 - 40 That says everything about the quality of the match. It's incredible that Stephens almost won the first set just by keeping the ball in play. She was so passive, she didn't even try to hit winners. If she hadn't made those easy and completely baffling errors in the tie-break, I'm sure Saba would have done her the favor and added a few more UE's. Iga would have thrashed her yesterday, but not just Iga, probably any player with a slightly more aggressive game than Stephens. It's also remarkable that Saba played pretty flawless tennis in the first four games, but then she started making unforced errors like there's no tomorrow. And she never really stopped.

Aryna was extremely lucky to win this match : she lost a 5-0 lead in the first set, and she was then behind in the tie-break, and the last two points in the tie-break were won through a net-cord ball, and then a mishit by Sloane. In my view she needs to review her tactics a bit : like Maria Sharapova, she slams every ball. She could take a leaf out of Carlos Alcaraz‘s book and include some intelligent drop-shots in her game. As a reply to drop-shots by Sloane she slammed several shots into the net instead of making an intelligent reply..🎾🤷🏼‍♂️🎾

Her grunts are obviously too long on purpose to distract the opponent...foul play.

Didn't see this match, only these highlights. Were there as many unforced errors as it seemed in these highlights? Seemed to be both women were hitting key shots either long or wide.

Those Frenchs have lots of energy to support some players they like, for Geopolitical reasons, and hate the rivals, to the point of becoming delirious when they make double falts... That's right, to much energy... Therefore, Emmanuel Macron was totally right when he decided that that energy must to be used for the good of the country... And decided those energetic French shoud be not able to retire so young... And work at least to a John Biden sort of age, to make a good use of such vibrant energy... Well done, so all singing together now... “Allons enfant de la patrie... Le jour de gloire est arrivé...”

@jesuslovesmebut8180 She faced racism at Indian Wells when she was 17, she's humble. So is her sister who helped issue equal prize money for WTA players. Put some respect on the Williams name you and your favorites could never.
