This song is so awesome i did not expect Sabaton to also sing about the Last stand of the Templars.
This is my first time watching SABATON The Last Stand after alot of you asked me to watch this. And let me tell you its EPIC!!!
I cant wait to listen to more SABATON songs because its already one of my favorite metal bands out there.

The song is about the Swiss Guard protecting the Pope in the Sack of Rome in 1527, is not about Templars. P.D: more information in the Sabaton's YT History Channel.

This is a fan video made up of clips from the move ARN: The Knights Templar. Its a swedish movie about a fictional character named Arn who travles south from Sweden to Jerusalem to fight in the crusade against Saladins muslim army. This takes place in the 12th century, while the song is about an actual historical event in 1527 when the Pope hade to flee Rome.

The movie is actually Kingdom of Heaven with Orlando Bloom. 10/10 would recommend.

My favorite Sabaton song, it talks about sacrifice of 189 Swiss Guardsmen while they were defending Rome and Pope from the the mercenary army formerly in the service of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V'th. Giving how the Swiss numbered 189 + Rome's local militia (around 5000 of them) against 20000 mercenaries you can probably imagine how that went. But the Swiss made their mark in history with this last stand and to this day they are still protecting the Pope.

You are most welcome, most people think this song is about Crusades and their knighthood because this song fit that aesthetic as well. Which is quite the irony as the song is about Christians killing other Christians and sacking the holiest Christian city in the world at that time. I also like other covers if they are good enough, and Aradna covered a lot of Sabaton songs quite well.

The video is misleading. According to the description, they could not find any clips on the sacking on Rome which the song is based on.

Great reaction. One thing though... back off of the gain on your mic; you are about 10 db louder than the music (which is a lot).
