Hahaha! Me too! He's going to Goma, which is literally in the same valley as Gisenyi. I've been to both cities- just a ridiculously beautiful part of Africa. Also, fellow African KZfaqr Wode Maya is in Congo now, too! But the western part- Kinshasa. I believe the visa to cross over is still over for Americans is $200, which is nuts, but well worth it. Goma is emerging as a cool vacation town, tech hub, and an emerging restaurant scene for Eastern Africa. Enjoy it, Tommy!
