Guys, Carmilla is a Victorian gothic novel (I study Victorian gothic literature) that predates Stoker’s Dracula. It’s in the public domain, so you can read it whenever you want for free. Do a quick google search and you’ll find it. I’m pretty sure it’s been adapted into (numerous) movies as well, so it’s possible to watch too. And yes, it is about a lesbian vampire.

Me and my sister watched this once. We genuinely thought we were ready. I'd watched tons of reviews of bad movies, so I thought "whatever this movie throws at us, we'll just make a joke and laugh it off." No, within minutes we were totally drained. We couldn't express ANY emotion, and the only joke we could make was "Why are we still watching this?" In conclusion, I blame you Saber, for watering it down. You subjected me to what I assume to be the closest thing to medieval torture ever.

Is it just me or does the villain look really similar to the orc brother? Like more than the other copy paste orcs. I actually expected there to be a twist where we found out the warlord was the brother’s biological father and we have a story about how blood doesn’t make you family and the elf brother has to convince him that his biological father doesn’t have his best interests in mind.

I'm curious why the orcs and elves were different colors in the beginning but then they all end up looking like human flesh colored. I think that is a big deal because it makes them less unique and the races then don't stick out.

I think it’s partly because the Asylum was about to get sued by Disney, so it had to change orc and elf skin colours from Warcraft ones to boring pink European flesh.

I actually love how their fangs look, it's really endearing for some reason. I especially love how the goth orc looks. Wait no I also think the animation is nice Plus, I got a genuine laugh from "new orc city" And I think the facial expressions are pretty fun sometimes. And the armor looks cool! And I think the character designs, despite being... oddly familiar and very simple, are nice. And I thought it was funny the way he just said "I'm kidnapping you." That got me! Oh god why do I like this movie

The animation is so close to being good. It's so strange how these animators know how characters should move and how to avoid things from looking floaty but don't know how to give the face expression. It's so close to being good that it's frustrating.

@@heroninja1125 Yup, thanks to Jaws, everything about sharks shows them as bloodthirsty killing machines that eat humans nonstop. Because of this reputation, people have hunted many shark species to near extinction. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm glad Baby Shark is popular. Sure, it's annoying and overplayed as heck, but at least it's positive shark representation.

Saylor Cassady Carmilla is a super old vampire story, that predates Dracula. She kind of introduced the idea of sexuality in vampire stories, because she seduces a girl. I don’t remember too much about the story other than Carmilla dies at the end

Fun Fact. Not a single Asylum release has ever lost money. And many have turned a significant profit. Their sets are cheap, they pay desperate B-list actors the union minimum, and they have zero marketing costs. They are evil geniuses who have found a niche and won't ever get dislodged :)

And something else I found out is that actors have to have a certain amount of acting credits or earnings per eligibility time period to maintain their SAG benefits (including health insurance). So for some desperate actors, taking an Asylum job is less about the money and more about health care and retirement plans!

I mean, if the elf brothers reasoning for going back was to get that sack of magic it’d probably have worked. think about it, they could’ve done so that sack of magic the orc brother had was the elf brothers bag and he needed it to graduate, that could’ve been way better reasoning for going back and have it be that over the course of the movie the elf brother starts to realise that deep down he really did care for his brother.
