This was beautiful William, as someone who was a Protestant for many years tho I was infant baptized in the Catholic Church I led by the Holy Spirit using the blessed Mother to bring me back to the church, this was very peaceful and good to see the spiritual aspect, and both the biblical beauty. God bless you William, May our Lord continue to use you for his glory 🙏🏾

Well, he's not a Greek Father, but Apponius talks about the Five Wounds in his commentary on the Song of Songs. He talks about how the "dove in the clefts of the rocks" image compared to the image of Christ as the Rock in the desert, and how Christ's wounds are like clefts in the Rock. It is a beautiful passage that talks about how man and God come to each other through the clefts in the Rock, Who is true God and true Man.

Oh my gosh. A ROCOR monk on X was saying exactly this the other day. Catholics tried to explain, but he just doubled down more and more. It was downright diabolical.
