South Africa didn't choke, India bowled superbly. lack of batting depth is the reason Miller couldn't take a chance when Klassen got out. Miller knew it was only him who can finish the game. And Jansen is a generational talent but at best he can bat at 8. SA need a proper no.7 you can't win a icc tournament without batting depth.

on paper, this SA team was nowhere near the on which had AB, Steyn, and du Plessis, yet they believed in themselves. It was the only side which was able to attack Indian spinners

I think Pant didn't go down to break the momentum. If he wanted to do that he would have gone down after the axar over. He went down after bumrah's over, which had already slowed down the momentum quite a bit. I think he went down to give Rohit Sharma some time to discuss what to do next. Rohit wanted to take his time without risking the 5 run penalty if the bowler isn't ready in 60 secs.

Hi Guys...Like they say "No game is over until the last ball is bowled"...This game was the personification of the that "Brutal Truth". Proteas were all set to take it away in style but a few "tight , accurate and tactically" brilliant overs brought the Nightmares back to the proteas. SA were the best team along with India to have qualified for this Finals. This was an Epic game. Period.

south africa should have more bowling all-rounder like hardik and axar in their team

SA were in a winning streak like India who in the 2023 ODI WC final lost it. This SA team can no longer be taken lightly, they are legit White ball team, to reach the semis of ODI WC and now the final of T20 WC is serious statement. Their time will come and i believe it will be in Champions trophy. Aiden has performed exceptionally as a Captain but his batting has been a issue, he has to bat in the middle order. The likes of Brevis, Stolk, Mitchell Van Buuren has to be polished further and be given a chance in the white ball format.

They will win wc soon under Aiden Markram it is definitely possible

The problem is SA's lack of batting depth. The number 8 for India was Jadeja who is a pretty good batsman. SA's number 8 was Maharaj/Rabada.

Every team knows that south africa has long tail and thats always put tremendous pressure on top six batters to always performs , south africa needs proper batting allrounder at number 7 likes of Delano potgieter and Diaan Forrester because they are both proper batting allrounder,and Marco Jansen at 8 that will make south african batting line-up strong

SA needs depth bowling and batting and fielding. India has it all, look at Dube's innings, look at Bumrah, Arshdeep and Pandya's bowling and then look at SKY's fielding. SA is the second best by a wide margin irrespective of the final margin of defeat. The margin came down only due to Klassen. There is a stark difference in talent as well as mindset in between both these teams.

Maturity is when you realize southafrica was playing with 4batsman rest Markram and Hendricks were like bonus wickets for the opposition. The reason they are in final is because of their bowling if that too was average they would have departed after the completion of super 8...Team like nepal lost by just 1 run to southafrica that itself should be the reality check of this batting line up and depth...wake up and try to add more batting all-rounder otherwise even finals would be a dream from next time around.
