Dance of the Vampires - Full German Musical (+english translation) - Part 4

7 жыл бұрынOk, all the characters have finally arrived at the castle of the Count, and now everything gets serious...kinda.
We start of Part 4 with the most recognizable song of the musical: "Total Eclipse of the Heart" was written and produced by Jim Steinmann, the composer of this musical, and got popular with the version sung by Bonnie Tyler. I bet some of you didn't see that coming ;-)
After that, we're going on to "Carpe Noctem", a song that I personally don't care much for (even though it has an awesome name). It has a cool melody and a nice performance, but since it's all just a dream, it's really not very important to the overall plot. The next scenes in the crypt though are one of my favorites, they're overall really funny and have some great character moments, and the song that plays is really catchy as well ^^
A good friend of mine, StupidFlyingXXFOX, saw this musical live recently and also fell in love with it, so she decided to ponify it.

I've asked myself the same thing too when I first saw this, but then I realized that that whole scene is meant to represent a nightmare that Alfred had ^^

@Count Monsparkle Thank you so much for uploading this musical! I am familiar with Total Eclipse of the Heart in English, but never knew about this show! So far, I am loving it! Also, I think German is the perfect language for it!

That first song had the same melody as "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" didn't it? Or was I just hearing things? In any case, this musical is fun to watch!

It is "Total Eclipse of the Heart". They guy who wrote the song, Jim Steinmann, also created this musical, and he decided to use the song here as well ;-)

the english translation is really amazing, because its a wonderful language but even the poetic english cannot fully capture all of the emotions from the german version...just my opinion. and I'm well aware that german is not perfect for songs rythm-wise

@@rrruby1377 I love to hear German versions of songs. :) To me, German language sounds so dramatic that it works beautifully for anything that needs to sound intense. I think it enhances the effect.

Total eclipse of the heart my fav song for years except for my sister she likes ummm Idk. But this song is my fav😘😏😆😆😆😆😆😍 Sing all the time Love my fav song YAY! Im so glad this song is part of this musical! Even the lyrics isn't the same as the original but the instrumental does

I hope it was surprising for you to find out that this song originally comes from this musical ^^ And the lyrics had to be altered in order to make sure everything still rhymes and sounds good. That's the case for any song that is translated into another language.

Probably it's in Hamburg around 2003. I can only tell by the cast. Jessica Kessler is playing Sarah here - and that was in Hamburg 2003.

I never understood, in the song "feel the night", Sarah and Alfred are bitten (by who? this isn't Krolock I think) but...Alfred isn't a vampire :/ I don't understand this part ^^" (sorry for my very bad english, I'm belgian ^^")
