My family told me my mother sang this song for me at a family reunion when I was in prison. She was the only one who traveled to go see me. I got out and not even a year later she was killed in a hit and run. This song will forever hold a special place in my heart for my momma.She was only 49 years old when she passed.

My wife of 46 year was a breast cancer surviver for 9 years. It metastasized into her brain, she became a Hospice patient and passed away 19APR2022! She was a fighter but she worried dat I might burn out and abandon her. So I made this our team song. I honored my commitment to her last breathe. She was good to me and I owed her that!!

I sang this to my firstborn child in womb after his father dissapeared. I was 3 months along. I sang it to him when he was a child, as he went to sleep. Close to my heart. He's 18, now. No sympathy needed. We did okay. 💙

The couple dancing in this video are my late aunt and uncle. I remember very well when they recorded this video. They are responsible for me knowing who Sade is. I miss them both dearly. One of the sweetest couples I’ve ever been blessed to know. This song was their favorite and truly epitomized their love for one another. A better couple couldn’t have been chosen to be featured for this song. 💖

Bro, you and your better half mirror my wife and I. This was the theme song to our wedding video. She and I started dating our freshman year in high school(1984). We married 9/29/01, 19 years ago. We have 2 girls, who are our everything, live in our same hometown where our families still live, house and commercial property owners, 2 cats, and great careers. This was my Wife and I's wedding song 18 years ago. We have been together a total of 28 years and are now separated on the verge of divorce. I play this song in remembrance of innocent days and better times. my mom was a huge sade fan and I grew up listening to her music . this song was always a favorite . back in 2012 my mom passed from cancer and now that I listen to this song after some time it's like my mom is speaking to me through these lyrics . makes me cry each time . that's what's special about sade music you can interpret it anyway.

This song is for my son and I. At 4 years old he was diagnosed with leukemia. This is the hardest thing either one of us will ever have to do. This song reminds me of him because I have been by his side through everything and always will be. He is 6 now and doing great. He's in remission and is the strongest guy I know. My warrior. In 2003, my husband was battling cancer. We were on our way to chemo playing this song. He and I love some Sade!! He told me "I'll fight my hardest to stay by your side, but I want you to know, even when the battle is over,and I got to move on..I will always be by your side🥲 he lost the battle,but he fought the good fight and left me filled with love and peace. I was 4 when I first heard this with my mom and dad in the car, and they were so madly in love then and I was happy. Now they have been separated for 12 years I'm 19 and my mother has kicked me out, became an alcoholic and cut me off. My father got married and left for another family. This song brings back so many happy childhood memories to me and I cant even connect it with how my life is now. It's so different now...

This was one of the last two songs the love of my life texted to me before overdosing and dying 3 weeks ago. He was in sober living and doing well until he slipped and it only took once, and he's gone forever now. It took me until today to even listen to what song he had sent me.
