If someone isn’t in the union and he goes abroad can he play in films like Netflix??

SAG-AFTRA is an exclusive American Union. You can work abroad on Netflix shows, some actors actually do just that, it depends on whether the country you're working on has a union of their own and if so, how's their regulations. Most countries don't have unions, but others like Canada, India, UK, France and Germany do.

You have to have a Screen Actors Guild card to do more than 3 lines in a movie or tv show so yes

What happens if a SAG-AFTRA actor gets a job on a foreign project? Say for example you got a job in a British film or television production. Unless I'm mistaken the British equivalent of SAG-AFTRA is Actors Equity. How does that work for American actors I've seen in foreign productions or foreign actors I've seen in American productions?

If you are doing union work, then yes. The minimum age to join SAG-Aftra is 4 years old.

So you got to pay the 3000$ one time fee and the dues? What are due exactly? Is it just the money you have to give to sag every time you make money off of filming?

You pay the one time fee to join, and then yes you have yearly dues, which they split in half and bill you twice a year. The dues consist of a base amount plus a small percentage of your earnings.

I'm from Australia and studying acting currently, can I gain a SAG Card...I'm confused :( Do you know the process for actors/actresses that don't live in US...Is it even possible. Or do you just know the process for UK or AUS Actresses/ Actors?

So do u get a voucher and pay 3000 and do u do you pay 3000 when u guest star and is automatically eligible

You pay to join the union after you've collected all the vouchers or eligibility vouchers you need. Give the SAG office a call! They're super helpful.
