Very encouraging information. I also live in San Antonio and have a Sago Palm that has not come out yet. I am a little concerned because it is mid May. My Sago is firm and not falling apart but it just seems like it doesn't want to grow new shoots. Thanks to this video, I will wait patiently.

Give it some time. 😎

IF the sago falls apart like yours did can you trim it down, or will it have to be pulled out of the ground?

If yours is mature enough, it might have babies at the base. In this case, just trim the top and the babies will replace the dead one. Otherwise, you will have to dig the whole plant.

Hello.. I have a 30year old sago that we transplanted because it was given to us. We took over two weeks to planted. This was early this year. It’s not crumbling down like yours but the spiky fuzzy crown is dried up. Is mine dead ?

@@gomez7408 I need an answer to this as well. Did you ever find out?
