Finally a sailing video! After 11 months of prep and delays, Lost Pearl is ready to head south for the Sea of Cortez (Gulfo de California).

Hello and thank you for the comment. I possible will continue, just that cruising life is so grand I didn’t spend the time to do all the editing. I do miss documenting the journey though.

I love your videos. Keep them coming. If you’re already using heavy fishing line and breaking off, you might have to use a wire leader to stop sharp teeth from biting through. So good to see you enjoying your wonderful investment. Take care buddy

Hey Jerry! It was the fishing gear that was left in the boat so it was kind of a crap shoot. When we were in Cabo we went to a tackle shop and she set me up. Did a service on the reel, loaded it up with new and stronger line and then selected a few appropriate lures and made leaders for them all. I’ve since added a bit more kit and am slowly learning. If you watch GnT sailing’s version of the trip there is a scene in part two of us in the tackle shop.
