I've had sailun ice blazer's on my 2015 AWD Ford taurus, what an amazing tire. For the price and wear you can't beat them. Now I have sailun terramax a/t tires on my 2017 Ford escape, these tires are great also. I would definitely stick with this brand. In Canada you can't beat the price.

I had Michelin all seasons premium top of the line passager tires proudly made in CANADA. Haha! Great famous performance with a big famous name. Everything went south👎👇 In only 3 1/2 years dry rots with only about several hundreds of fine cracks lines on all sidewalls of all 4 tires smiling at me. Brought it back to COSTCO with its famous posted black and white powerful warranty behind their beans counter. They blamed me for all the dry rots and all the sidewalls cracks. With a big no no instore warranty claim or adjustment. They asked me a double sword question of " Do you use tire shine or not?" Guess what ? I said " YES". He replied back " You shouldn't be supposed to be any tire shine shines or preservatives ." They give me Michelin's own representatives toll free number to deal with me. The Michelin Co. representative tells me to go to one of their independent privately owned tire shop near me to get another evaluation. Guess what? The same tire dressing question? He ask me do I use any tire shine products again. I quickly realized it's a double-edged sword question. If you use tire dressing products, it means you are using chemicals are a no-no for the Michelin tires. If you said you don't use tire dressing products, which means you don't take care of your tires. It ends up another no and forfeit warranty claim. Then the Michelin tire rep, give me another tire shop located much farther away from this location for me to get another evaluation for warranty claim. I realize this is just another RUNABOUT GAME Michelin played to F#*k me up to get rid of me from warranty claim. No warranty claim on a 5 years FAMOUS Warranty. I will never look at MICHELIN tires again after this HALL OF SHAME GAME 🎮 they played on consumers like me.

Also most tire shops have a 30 day ride guarantee. So if you are in a bind and a Sailun tire is the only one available in your size. Use it for a week and call to order a different brand tire. The money you already spent will also be put towards the new tire even without a road hazard warranty.

You're guessing 40K and the DOT number will give you date of manufacture. If you shop only price on your tires, stop. I've Ben driving for 40 years, worked for a major independent tire distributor as my first job (my dad was a store manager) and know what kind of life you can realistically expect from most tires (even new ones). I also have a good grasp of how they'll perform getting to their max mileage. Tires, like virtually everything in this world are a get what you pay for proposition. If you go too cheap, you'll run through multiple sets, too expensive (read specialized) and you'll break the bank. What you really want to do is invest in the best possible tire for your driving conditions. Blow outs are more often the result of poor maintenance and bad driving habits than anything else, but the application of the wrong tire to your vehicle can do it, too. For city and highway passenger car driving, nothing beats Michelin. But there are some pretty good pretenders that'll save you a bit of money. Tier Three Chinese tires are NOT in that group. The most likely reason for similar wear on these much older Michelin's vs the new Sailun's is they've run up 2x the mileage. This guy is obviously schilling for the Chinese.

Had Hankook tyres and Sailun atrezzo zsr tyres, and got about 2000kms more out of the Sailun tyres. Didint notice any handling difference in the wet or dry. Tried Michelin and Pirelli and barely got 10,000kms out of them. Sailun were $130, compared to $170 for the Hankook, and over $200 for the other 2.

I couldn't help but to notice all of the water sitting in the bottom of the Michelin tire. I hope you aren't trying to sell those. Why didn't you show the manufactured on date? Example: 5214 (Week/Year) so we can see both tires are the same age. Also, the Sailun tires look like the outer tread is cupped. So we can go behind any garage and do a comparison on tires and that will be accurate? :(

Some Sailun tires have a tendency to develop impact bulges due to a weak sidewall. If that happens the next time you take your car in to get serviced they will tell you that you will need to replace your tires due to impact bulges and there is little you can do to prove that it is in fact a defect and not a road hazard. So if you buy these tires make sure you purchase the road hazard warranty so that you can get a different tire. While the money you spent on the Sailun will go towards the new tire if it happens in the first year of having the tires. Otherwise it's prorated.

A lot of companies have their products made to their specs in China. While that does exploit cheap labor, it doesn't compromise the products if quality controls are enforced. A Chinese product on the other hand should be scrutinized as corners are often cut that can end up hurting more than your feelings. That said, Sailun tires are currently the tire of preference among RV travel trailer owners because of their superior durability and longevity in a small market that is made up of very expensive, less durable major tire brands. There isn't a lot of choice in heavy travel trailer tires and they are expensive and prone to failure. And when one blows, it can cause a lot of costly damage to a trailer. It isn't uncommon to see someone take possession of a new 30-40' 5th wheel trailer and immediately install Sailun tires on it. The fact that they are also a little less expensive is an extra bonus.

Absolute nonsense.. dry rot and sidewall cracking? You dont provide any date code, and you have no idea how they were driven or how many miles. Scraping on the side wall is from contacting the curb.. they don't just appear from nothing on expensive tires and cheap off brand tires are not scrape proof. I feel bad for anyone who watches this and bases any decision this "advice".. the bottom line is that you buy cheap inferior tires because you cant afford good tires.

snippy2 I have a 2014 gmc dually that had less than 40,000 miles on it and had Michelin tires that had cracks on the sidewalls from dry rot. The tires also had little chunks of tread coming off. I contacted michelin and they pointed me to a service center. After inspection, michelin offered to give me over $700 off of a new set. They knew there was a problem. So I can testify that Michelin has a problem with dry rot. I still believe that they make great tires. I put them on everything.

He replied back " You shouldn't be supposed to be using any popular brands of tire shine or preservatives ." They give me Michelin's own representatives toll free number to deal with me.

I admit I've never used "Sailun" tires but I do have experience with Goodyear, Hankook and others on my trucks and cars and I won't buy anything but a Michelin. They get great mileage, handle extremely well in dry or wet conditions and they are quiet. I NEVER go cheap on tires. My family's lives and mine are worth more then trying to save a few lousy pennies. Too broke for good quality tires then walk or take public transportation.

Michelin has made poor choices in cutting off their smaller tire sizes (i.e. 13 inch and was told even 14's maybe going away.) As I am an owner of older compact cars with the smaller tires and they DO make the best quality and safest tire, I have ever driven on, in all the years I have driven on them, with many times having tires that have been driven on for over ten years (yes, over ten years) and not had one tire failure. Why would I go over to cheaper(well, when the government is The tire company, how can you not undercut any and everyone you are in competition with?)

I took Sailun tires for my Trans Am because I didnt have a choice at that time (rare tire size) and that's the money I've thrown. I would not recommend it to anyone.

blah Michelin yes, Goodyear no, the top 2 brands in the world are Michelin and Bridgestone, the Chinese tires are not so good, however Sailun are improving and are great if you want to pay less and drive lightly for 3 years or so. People forget that you will pay double if not more for non Chinese made.

As a real owner experience of my last set of Michelin premium of their top of the line tires. Very disappointed and very discussed with the big black and white 5 years backed famous Michelin warranty posted for their tires dealers. It's a scam. 31/2 years all dry rots with only a few hundreds of fine cracks on the sidewalls on all 4 tires . The warranty is a joke. NO, no, no warranty.

A completely unbalanced comparison. An ice radial compared to a basic summer tire. The producer of this video clearly simply wants to sell Salun tires and has made it look like his off-handed observations mean something when they are not based in facts. There is no way that the Salun tire begins to compare with a Michelin product, even if he were comparing similar models. All that this video assures me is that this man wants to sell tires but doesn't begin to understand the facts about them. As another comment states, people buy cheap tires because they can't afford good ones. There are major differences between a good quality tire and a poor quality tire and it is generally reflected in the price. Don't listen to this guy. Shop around until you find a tire store that you feel you can trust and follow their advice. Ask around the neighbourhood to see where people shop. Call a local College. Do some homework and buy good tires. Your life may depend on it.

Poor comparison between two different tire sizes that go on different vehicle types. Overall, I would say that you get what you pay for. Bottom line, if my family is riding with me, I would not have nothing other than a Tier 1 tire such as Michelin, Bridgestone, or Continental. Everything else is junk when you factor the safety of your family. Should you have a catastrophic failure on your tires, you won't have a prayer getting any compensation for damages from a tire manufactured in China or headquartered there. For hobbyists burning rubber for the fun of it, sure, buy cheap made in China tires. Don't get me wrong, there are many "good" "decent" made in China tires for many applications. You must be the judge of what's important to you: saving a few nickels or having the peace of mind you don't have to worry about potential quality control issues that may come to bite you when least expected.
