On this week's extra episode of Under10Hours, we are done. We made it to the finish line of the Saints Row series with Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, the standalone DLC that puts a bow on the universe of the game. In this game, Johnny Gat has to descend to the depths of hell to save the boss from the curse of marrying Satan's daughter, Jezebel. Along the way we meet some familiar faces we haven't seen in a while like Dex, Troy, and Dane Vogel.

I haven’t actually played Gat Out Of Hell, I have it, but 4 just tired me out to play, also,totally missed opportunity to have Shaundi go to hell with Gat instead of Kinzie…

Gat Out of Hell was a lot of fun, but I get it. I never finished it until now either. It's also incredibly short and doesn't have much in the way of missions. Instead it forces you to do activities until Satan takes notice and fights you. It's very a very simple DLC.

@@Under10Hours with how short it is, it doesn't have a whole lot of methods to actually gain money which is quite annoying at times Especially when trying to get the challenge done of upgrading all weapons

I love all the saints row games but it's such a shame we never got true follow ups to SR2 and Red Faction Guerilla. There really just aren't games that scratch those same itches and they feel more important and impressive the further we get away from them. I would kill one of my less beloved relatives for another Red Faction like Guerilla

Really liked this retrospective series of Saints Row, just subscribed because of it. Hope you manage do Agents of Mayhem sometime. It's a completely different vibe to any of the mainline games but it was good fun when I played it a few years ago. Might be worth buying the complete edition of the game with the DLC characters of Johnny Gat and Kinzie next time it goes on sale.

I was introduced to the series with this via a video but never played this, I think the entire Hell concept intrigued me and it still does, should consider trying it out but when it comes to the reboot and Volition promising it'll go back to the roots and they'll tone down the wackiness, I understand that they gotta stick with it and give what fans wanted.

I actually kinda like Agents of Mayhem, I'm not blind to its issues but I've done a few playthroughs since it came out. Just one of those things where you can't really articulate why you like it.

That's interesting. It's really a game that I know nothing about. It kind of just came and went, and for the longest time I thought it wasn't playable anymore because the servers went down. I just learned that isn't true. Might be worth playing sometime down the line.

You know if Volition would of just made bite size, "Tales of the Rows" Saint Row DLCs that introduced a new gimmick or theme every year would of been fun. Way more fun that SR22, just small stories where we either play the boss, or a random Steelport character with rhat would of kept the SR series life alive until they decide to make a legit sequel

Should've mentioned that banger musical number we get at the half-way point of the game. Daniel Dae Kim's delivery of "-murderer Spree-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES" will live rent free in my head for the rest of my days lmao

Gat is one of the reasons what made Saints Row is great. --- Gat: " Im gonna shoot him in the face" Later in the game: actually does it when first seeing Satan himself. ---

Plot twist: saints row turned out the way it did because volition noticed that the community were saying it's a gta clone instead of a competitor

I’ve been playing it on and off since launch. I wanted to give it a fair fight to impress me. It is awful. It does not work. Every other mission requires restarts because it bugs out and won’t let me progress. The character creator community downloads took 4 restarts of the game to finally work. There are massive bugs everywhere. You can patch those, but you can’t patch how bad gunplay feels, the bad writing, the excessive waves of enemies on every missions that pads out playtime, etc. It brings nothing new to the table besides a good city, good car customization and decent character creation tools. None of those things are good enough to redeem how underwhelming the game is in every aspect.

Simple, short, and still pretty fantastic They could have done better on some parts But still enjoy a good old Saints Row, relieve some stress be powerful with upgrades type game(s) 5:47 felt Also, I noticed you were playing on PlayStation, would you like to help me getting the trophy of playing co-op for 3 hours so I can platinum it?

I know I'm the odd ball here, however i looked saints row iii and saints row iv. I know gat out of hell is dlc for saints row iv, however i enjoyed every second of it. I also bought it for $3 on a sale on Sony eShop. I never played it before and can see how most people might not like it because saints row iv is the red headed step child of the series. Honestly i never got the third game because it was a "gangsta game". I got it because it roasted that genre and was the best action game parody. And saints row iv was the best imo because it not only roasted the matrix, it also roasted other video games and had fun with it. It even roasted well known TV series such as Leave it to Beaver and Miracle on 34th Street. I'm glad i never bought the first two games, because i probably wouldn't like the series at all. I don't see the enjoyment in playing as a villain at all. If you like that that's fine, i would rather play something else.

Might be worth looking at this game if it's just better saints row 4 considering how many hours I gave that mediocre game, I just assumed it woild be bad because it was basically a dlc for saints row 4 released standalone and the dlc for the main game didn't fill me with confidence

Until the release of the reboot this year, this was the only _Saints Row_ game I've not played and have no intention of playing. _Saints Row IV_ was just too much to handle. I couldn't handle a copycat sequel.
