saints row 2 was the best and essentially the only one of the series worth playing, but I didn't play part one so... idk the rest sucked though.

i've played all the games. i started with srtt, and played them mostly out of order. i think the first two are much better than the last two, but that doesn't mean i hate the last two. what i can appreciate about the last two is the fact that it didn't take itself seriously, giving it a pretty awesome charm (though 1 and 2 weren't all that serious). i think the second one is the best because it's a good balance of serious and silly, and there's much more to do.

I like to think of these games as the Rocky movies. 1 and 2 are great, and revolutionary. 3 is when the series changed and got a little weird. 4 is. when the series gets really weird, and just stupid. 5 is just like, well that was bad.

Love the way they run in the video xD Honestly I like SR3 the most. 4 got too crazy. Couldn't finish the first two installments. The whole GTA similarity and gangs things... I just couldn't get into it. Hate and flame me for it but it wasn't as enjoyable as San Andreas. But 3 made it more comical yet surprisingly different instead of "hardcore gangsta" and whatnot. I know people get a kick out of being "gangsta" in video games, but for those who realize it's ultimately a GAME... I prefer to have it more obnoxious and whacky when it comes to these types of series. Been there, shot that, stole that, etc. My only problem with 4 is that having super powers, most mechanics (weapons, vehicles, etc) you didn't even need due to the fact that you could just sprint and fly and shoot fire balls or whatever when the series was heavily focused around grand theft auto. If they incorporated the world and game play around the superpowers more than just dumping you off in Steelport (practically SR3) and just adding your godlike abilities, it could have been more successful. Although as crazy and whacky as the story was in 4, at least they did something different with the lore instead of the same old shite over and over again. Gangs, power, betrayal, etc.

I (and maybe others) would like to see, as follows: a remastering of the first two SR games possibly under the title "Saints: The Stilwater Chronicles" , a prequel game showing Julius Little and Benjamin King forming the Vice Kings fighting the Carnales, and a proper Saints Row sequel that retcons 3, 4 and GOOH.

Saints Row 1 was the best and cannot be topped, what a complete, fun game that was.

i love all 4 games the 1st and 2nd were great but super serious and dark. the third and fourth were fun wacky and great games. all in all i loved all of them and the third was my favorite
