I have just bought the X-55 and have had it for about 2 weeks. I was very worried that it would not be good after some bad reviews I have read. However, this is really great. Excellent functions for the price. If you are working on a budget like myself, then this is an worthwhile buy.

Thank you for this very informative and instructional video. I just wonder... after all those years of people using BMS and x56, why can't we agree to one setup? It is only two files for crying out loud... one is a BMS key file and the other is the Rhino profile file. It could save everyone so much pain!

@spudknocker noticed in your F14 hotas setup you said that you had to assign a modifier to turn off airbrake because the switch only activated when you slid it forward, here's your solution.

I wanted to program the slider as a speed brake button, but so that the brakes would be extended in the button's back position.

Perfect tutorial. Just got an x 56 and your trick still applies, although the switch is now called SLD, for slider I guess. If Trump does kick off Armageddon it will be down to people like you to get everything running again. Good luck with that. Personally I'm waving my towel at the heavens and hoping for the best.

Hello, I also have a x56 (not the Rhino-version) and my Slider isn't programmable. The button works, but your advice don't work, when I try to test it. I don't know, if it have to do with the fact, that the software find and shows a x56 Rhino, and not the x56 RGB. Do you have any clue to fix that?

I do exactly this yet it simply will not recognise the key - I checked the windows diagnostics and the physical button works fine, it's literally the software won't execute the button press as programmed and I don't know what to do

Lucky, my came with a broken slider.

Man I never use the software. I find it doesn't even need it. Plus if you use the software you can't use the M1,M2,M3 twist as modifiers because the software designates it as something else entirely.
