Our second visit to Oman was to the port city of Salalah. Salalah has a long history as a port city for Frankincense, an archaeological park shows ruins of a port city during the height of that trade, with a Grand Mosque, The Fort (Palace) and City Walls and A Lagoon.. Al-Baleed or Al-Balid Archaeological Park also houses the Museum of the Frankincense Land. Our first stop was to the tomb of the prophet Job, a sacred place to Muslims, Jews and Christians as Job was mentioned in both the Bible and Quran. We also see present-day Salalah by visiting the Sultan's Palace when his is in Salalah, drive by a souk and see the outside of Sultan Qaboos Mosque. The funniest part of our tour was being able to see the camels, such interesting animals.
