I got these a few weeks ago. In wisconsin they work so well.

I have been using the non-gaiter version of these for several years and they've been holding up just fine. I'm considering the gaiter version to prevent snow getting into the shoes from the top and slowly melting inside the Gore-Tex liner. These shoes are pretty good out on technical forest trails, and they've saved my ass a few times on icy downhills. I second avoid running on cleared streets if you don't want to sound like a screechy horse, and especially be careful on your porch or more delicate flooring. They are specialised but in my opinion worth it if you wear them where they're supposed to be worn, and the studs last a long time.

What is the designation on Hokas for their spiked winter shoes? I see a couple on the wall but when I search I just see ATR versions without spikes.
