At least Farleigh was lucky he was banished, and didn't become the next murder victim. Also, the ending montage depicting Oliver orchestrating meeting Felix and setting up the murders seemed a bit excessive, compared to how subtle the rest of the film was.

I thought it was so campy though! It was so silly but I loved seeing how it all went down so that there were no questions about what happened in the end. And Ollie dancing through the house naked.... horrified laughter and five stars.

I made the mistake of watching the movie with my parents, and let's just say that things got incredibly awkward between us during the bathtub and grave scenes! Barry Keoghan definitely deserves an Oscar Nomination for his chilling performance.

I LOVED “The Killing of a Sacred Deer.” Keoghan was outstanding in that film. I think Barry Keoghan is very handsome in a very unusual way. He’s striking looking with those incredible eyes! I was very impressed with the size of his....ummm....dance at the end. Lol

This film was good I've got no criticism. It highlights some unflattering things about the avarice of the middle classes. Poor people want money, middle class people want status. Even the butler was obviously a middle class person just like Ollie. He was living like the upper class by proxy. The butler knew exactly how dangerous Ollie was.

I would say this is less eat the rich and more "deep obsession and if i can't have you NO ONE will and i will covet everything that you once were" Also Ollie is lying to himself and Elsbeth. Yeah he planned the encounter between him and Felix but he was improvising the whole time. Getting Saltburn ONLY became his goal after Felix's death. His goal most of the movie was to covet Felix himself.

I mean they mentioned the coroner and police showing up during that red room scene. So I’m assuming they did have one and because most of the people at the party were drug using and getting shitfaced, they ruled his death as an overdose? After the third death though idk how the police weren’t even a little suspicious of Ollie 😭

you should totally watch (and react if you dont mind) to "The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)"! in my humble opinion, it does a better job at handling the class difference theme and even the queer desire the main character has. A lot more tragic but also more beautiful too.

This is one of my favorite movies like… period. I love how uncomfortable it makes people and I also love how much it is confusing people.
