regarding GMS and CAN network. You replaced the entire body with electronics. It may be necessary to adapt (train) systems such as the bodycomputer, engine control unit, counter, ABS and traction control systems. It is possible that the numbers of the given elements do not match and will not communicate with each other.

An interesting old project while you figure out why the truck won't start. Some tricky problems like that can take a lot of time to sort out. Hopefully you find the fix without too much trouble. Looking forward to seeing the truck running. In the meantime, seeing this current project progressing will suffice.

You should use Factory sizes diagram and laser level on sutch type of work. It save your time and result will be more accurate. All gaps will be like factory in a first assembly.

It's KZfaq so near enough will do for the camera then get someone else to do it properly after cameras stop rolling 😆

That car looks beyond a block of wood and hammer, frame rails look different heights so probably needs to go on frame machine 🤣

Where does the traction bars connect to now? Also gaps maybe never perfect due to everything being chinese and mixed with some oem but good luck

I helped out an old Navy vet neighbor of mine by putting air in his car tire a cpl weeks ago. Now my mechanic is working on both his cars and I hung a door for him yesterday. You are 100% right! The littlest gesture can mean the world to someone.
