+Aidar “Protheus” K Unlike the other half of Shrek, Mike Myers knows when to take a hint. Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler don't. For that matter you could argue Tyler Perry has made an art out of churning out things so low budget they can't fail. God bless Mike Myers, because for all the lacking talent the man might have he knows when to make his exit.

Love Guru wasn't great but it wasn't terrible I don't get the hate it received it was a "watch once" film. Hopefully Myers will make a comeback one day

Oh believe me I'm aware, but it took a decade of increasing decline since Pluto Nash marked the point of no return for him to finally call it quits. It took Mike Myers ONE MOVIE to know the mojo was gone.

That's the idea. Meyers quit with dignity BEFORE the career could be ruined, it's why he can even come back to SNL and it's why we all still love him. Eddy Murphy never stopped, so we all end up loathing him as much as anything, with as many people hating him as you see hating Adam Sandler or Tyler Perry.

As soon as I heard Dr. Evil's theme start playing, I immediately went into nostalgia mode. I grew up watching the Austin Powers movies. Awesome to see him back on SNL. Made my night.

+UnitedWeStand4EVR To the best of my knowledge, there will be no fourth "Austin Powers" movie; in February of 2002, specifically, on February 3, 2002, six months before "Austin Powers in Goldmember" was released, New Line Cinema announced in a press statement that "Goldmember" (Released to theaters on July 26, 2002) would be the third and final installment in the "Austin Powers" franchise.

He's been telling people for the last 12 years that he's been working with Jay Roach on a script for Austin Powers 4 and that it would be more about Dr. Evil and his son. It's allegedly been in development for the last 11 years. Mike Myers has stated multiple times that he's working on it and multiple actors have stated their involvement.

+LolSpecLol Keyword there being "allegedly"; unfortunately, there has been no official word as to whether or not this is true, and if it is, no release date has been announced for a fourth "Austin Powers" movie. Plus, as I mentioned in my original reply to UnitedWeStand4EVR, New Line Cinema released a press statement on February 3, 2002, announcing that "Goldmember" would be the final installment in the franchise. If there was a fourth "Austin Powers" movie coming out any time soon, New Line Cinema would have said something by now by way of a press statement or possibly a theatrical trailer.

EricEbac22 That's not entirely true though. There are plenty of examples of film studios claiming that "this movie will be the last" and then coming out with more. It's all up to Mike Myers and Jay Roach getting the script together, if they can do that I'm sure New Line will pick up the film, there's definitely enough interest.

I may be the only person in the world who actually liked the Love Guru. I was still laughing at parts during the drive home. I guess I'm the only one who was expecting an extremely stupid movie and so found the stupidity of it entertaining.

I'm not sure what I was thinking when I watched it. It wasn't made any better when they incorporated hockey into the story, and even making the games in the movie Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts. I especially hated that, me being a big hockey fan and all. Mike Myers will be lucky if he appears in another good movie that isn't just voice over work.

To this day, Love Guru remains as one of my favorite pieces of entertainment in my existence. Personally, a childhood classic. "If you're Uncle Jack helped you get off of an elephant, would you help your Uncle Jack off an elephant?" Shit kills me to this day 💀😂
