This is so, so powerful & unfortunately I can relate so much. I’ve had a physical disability from birth, it never affected me mentally until I was 18. Since joining university, seeing people online, friends in relationships, I’ve felt shit about myself. To the point I would not leave my flat for days, cry myself to sleep, pray to god for change. I’ve never felt loved or liked by a girl, that still kills me everyday. I’m sad, lonely and will never be happy about my body. This song hits me right in the feels, because I have been there & experienced what it’s like to be body conscious, have anxiety and depression. Sam, your so strong for doing this. I’ve always loved your music, rawness and voice. Incredible. Destined for the very top because your real & sing/write from the heart.
