Looking good. This is no criticism, just a preference, but I would have put down a cheap luxury vinyl plank floor just because I can't stand trying to keep bare plywood swept. It makes keeping it clean so much easier, and they're durable, especially when you don't care what it looks like. It also makes things with wheels roll so much more smoothly!

Totally agree, bare wood is becoming a pain in the b.. It will wear, start to splinter, gets black where you walk path is etc.

I agree. Tried bare plywood in an enclosed cargo trailer and after 6 months put down vynl flooring.

Under the sheet? A Thunder Bolt! Given that my hobby workshop is the 5-foot area down the side of my extra-wide garage and half a benchtop along the back wall of my garage, I'm envious of your new space. It is what it is and I probably wouldn't know what to do with all the space you've created anyway. It's been fun watching it all come together. Congrats!

You need to let us know what you do want to make in your new workshop. I have some items that I would like made but I'm not sure if its something you would like to make and what type of materials you are capable of making them out of. So, maybe a video explaining this? Hey, when I move into a new space sometimes it can take up to a whole year to figure out what I want the space to look like, colors, textures and flooring & wall coverings. Thats just in my house. I know a workshop would take longer bcuz you have to work in the space to get the feel of it.

Nicely done. I've been enjoying your workshop build. I have several tips for you on the wire shelves. Because you have standardized your shelve heights you have some options available that you might not have thought about. I filled my garage with wire shelves and my work room. What I found was the spacing between shelf units becomes wasted space and the ajacent poles are doubled. Google 1 inch Z clips for wire shelves. It allows you to remove 2 of the poles where you have 2 side by side shelf units. You have one shelf unit with all 4 poles and the next one only has two poles. You will have many more poles to use and expand with. You can also buy indiviual shelves that are longer like 60 or 72" and place those between 2 shelf units with z clips at both ends of the long shelves to hook to the other units. The advantage of this is you can have shelves above tables and equipment without the need for the bottom shelves interfering with things. You can also make corner units this way. I find it allows me to be creative with the arrangements of the shelves and fit more in the same space. I have found I like making u shapes where I have two shelf units with the narrow ends against one wall with shelves hooked in between making 2 corner units. You end up with 8 poles on the side units and none on the shelves inbetween. It is nice to be able to be able to make shelf isles if you need to. I spaced my shelving so my overhead lighting falls in the isles. I also picked up some s hooks to hang brooms and dust pans on. Don't forget to pickup some shelf liners to prevent small items from falling trough the shelf wires. There are rails you can get to position at the back between 2 poles above a shelf to prevent things from getting pushed off the rear of the shelf. If you find you need power on a shelf the rails are a great place to attach a power strip. clip on wire shelf label holders will satisfy your anal needs to organize. Under cabnet lighting works great on wire shelves and can be held on with zipties.

Thoughts about doing the casters that allow you to raise and lower l the tables as needed? I think Adam’s savage or April Wilkinson did a table with them. They are fairly neat to reconfigure layout without too much hassle.
