One of the best purchases i made was buying a used 4' x 6' utility trailer with 48" high side panels and gate. I can haul all of camping boxes and put a kayak on top. My dog gets the back seat all to herself and my truck bed is free for anything

I like to play this game with your videos and with NW fishing secrets where I try to geolocate the lakes you guys visit based of the geographical surroundings as I myself live in eastern washington and I have to admit this one has me stumped! Looks like north central Washington but I can't quite find it. Great video Sam. Maybe I can get the next one right! (I never reveal where they are)

Look into Diamondback bed covers. They are compatible with Thule and Yakima rack systems. Also provides an extra level of security when you're away from your truck.

Kent makes great ammo! They are the standard all steel ammo is based by for waterfowl. They aren't the best anymore but the number of ducks killed by them every year is still pretty high considering its not a main stream ammo line

Car camping by sleeping in the driver chair reclined is the best camping, to me. Easy to do. Very cozy and warm. Can recharge stuff in the dash at hands reach. In really, really cold temps can turn on the engine, for 5 minutes and blast the cab with heat, while recharging the car battery. It permanently frees up all the interior space of the cab, too, when your sleeping spot is in your chair.

Sighting in a red dot on a turkey shot gun. Buy cheaper 2 3/4 inch bird shot 8 or 9 . Put a golf ball size dot on a target. Put the target at 15 feet. Shoot the 2 3/4 inch bird shot out of a rest at the dot. Adjust accordingly. Once you are center punching the dot at 15 feet, switch to your expensive shells. I shoot one for pattern at 20 and the other at 40 yards. Saves money and your shoulder. Get a roof rack extension frame that uses your trucks existing cab rack and the frame extension over your truck bed.

Good to see you again. You caught and ate my favorite "trout" I love Eastern Brooks. I used to catch them in Lava Lake in Central Oregon then people started using live minnows a violation and ODFW poisoned the lake and only replanted Rainbows.

You should consider adding some small barrel snap swivels to your tackle box for when using those spinners. I use those panther martins and other spinners all the time and used to have a bunch of twisted line. Now it’s rare. Awesome vid man, my kinda trip!

Your line twist is from several factors. 1. The way you spool your line 2. Not using a swivel 3. Reeling while your drag is loose. I spool direct & inline. I also change my line every year on a slow year & every other month if I fish at a minimum of twice a month & had productive days. I use to go to gambles tackle before they went out of business. I tried to help out taylor & his dad bill to save their tackle shop but I knew they werent going to make it from a view point of someone that worked at a very successful tackle shop for nearly a decade. Last chance tackle. I believe they still have a website, LOADED store front & boat service & sales shop.

Sounds like you need to invest in a bed canopy and start puttin it on top for sure. There's some sweet options that would allow you to sleep in the back and store things at the same time. On a side note, I've heard people say the taste difference from costal range deer and elk is caused because the sage they eat in eastern WA/OR.

Samong, the line twist can be caused by the way to put the line on from from spool of line. Look into that. Great video as always.

I’ve always sited in my red dots with a bore site it saves so much time and ammo I’ve never tried it with a shotgun, but I feel like that would be the best for it

You have to use a barrel swivel (or two) with those panther martin or they will for sure twist and knot up your line horribly. Especially if you are trolling. Snap swivels don't seem to work as well. Barrel swivel and 18-24" leader so you can still cast somewhat. I have done that exact same thing though, broke off because of the knotted mess and then hooked one while hand-lining it in.

Get a camper level with the roof rack and you can easily strap your kayak up there. You’ll then have the entire inside of the canopy and back seat free for gear

A really good way to site in a red dot really fast is to get a bore site laser and site in at 20 to 30 feet

If the lines twisted, remove any terminal tackle and troll the entire length behind the boat for a few minutes. That pulls the twists out.. and next time, wind the line on the spool the same way it comes off the roll. Lay i down flat and as it loops off and it looks like its beginning to twist, flip the spool over and go again. Its one way or the other. I grew up in Lewiston Idaho, love that country, exactly like that.. wide open, brookies in every lake. Nice to see some things are the same. Far better eating than rainbows.

I found that is you go to the lumber yard and get a real green piece of pine and cook the carp on the wood at 350 for 8 hours and take it out of the oven and through away the fish and eat the bord much better
