A special tribute to everyone who supports my channel and has helped me reach 20,000 subscribers!
I included George's six string bass on Golden Slumbers and Carry That Weight because there isn't much guitar during most of those songs
I had released part of the medley in 2023-
You Never Give Me Your Money
• You Never Give Me Your...
Sun King/Mean Mr. Mustard
• Sun King/Mean Mr. Must...
Polythene Pam/Bathroom Window
• Polythene Pam/She Came...
Now it is complete!
You Never Give Me Your Money 0:00-3:59
Sun King 3:59-6:27
Mean Mr. Mustard 6:27-7:34
Polythene Pam 7:34-8:52
She Came In Through The Bathroom Window 8:52-10:44
Golden Slumbers 10:44-12:16
Carry That Weight 12:16-13:52
The End 13:52-15:58
Her Majesty 15:58-16:36
I will be releasing separate covers for the songs from the medley that haven't been released yet, where I will go into more detail as to who played what and which instruments were used. For now, this is a celebratory video and meant to be enjoyed
Below, I will breakdown the gear that is used on each song and briefly explain the order in which these songs were recorded:
You Never Give Me Your Money-
George: Gibson 'Lucy' Les Paul into Fuzz Face pedal, Fender Twin Reverb amp
John: Epiphone Casino into Fender Twin Reverb amp
Sun King and Mean Mr. Mustard (recorded together in one session)-
George: Fender Rosewood Telecaster into Twin Reverb amp (with amp tremolo effect)
John: Epiphone Casino into Leslie Speaker Cabinet on slow setting
Polythene Pam and Bathroom Window (recorded together in one session)-
George: Lucy Les Paul into Fender Twin Reverb amp (tape delay effect added after)
John: 12-string acoustic guitar, possibly a Fender Villager XII
Golden Slumbers and Carry That Weight (recorded together in one session)-
George: Fender Bass VI or Jazz Bass (I will go into more detail as to why I think he used a six string bass in my upcoming dedicated video)
George: Overdubbed guitar solo on his Lucy Les Paul
Paul or George: overdubbed guitar through a Leslie (probably Paul on his Casino)
The End-
George: Lucy Les Paul through Fuzz Face pedal into Twin Reverb
John: Epiphone Casino into Twin Reverb
The Solos-
George: Lucy Les Paul into unknown amp or pedal (could be fuzz face into Twin)
Paul: Epiphone Casino into Fender Twin Reverb
John: Epiphone Casino into Fuzz Face pedal into Twin Reverb
Later section-
John: Epiphone Casino into Leslie speaker
George: Lucy Les Paul into Fender Twin Reverb
Her Majesty-
starts with the ending D7 chord from Mean Mr. Mustard (see lineup above)
Paul: Martin D-28 acoustic guitar
KZfaq blocked Ringo's isolated drums on The End, so I apologize if it is sparse sounding
MY GEAR:
Guitars-
2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard
2021 Epiphone Casino USA
2007 Fender American '52 Hot Rod Telecaster
2022 Squier Classic Vibe VI
1967 Gibson B-25-12 12-string acoustic
1969 Martin 00-18 6-string acoustic
Amps
1974 Fender Silverface Pro Reverb
1965 Fender Bassman
Pedals
Analogman Sunface BC108 (Fuzz Face clone)
Analogman King of Tone (Overdrive and boost tones)
JHS Angry Charlie v4 (George The End Solo)
Thorpy Fallout Cloud (John The End Solo)
Strymon Lex (Leslie simulation)
Strymon Deco (You Never Give Me Your Money Casino)
Thanks for watching!

Would've loved to have seen him keep going in the Abbey Road direction if the band had stayed together. Feel by 69 he'd made his peace with just being the lead guitarist in the Beatles and there was going to be other stuff outside it

George was such an amazing and creative guitarist. So many of his parts were all over the neck, elaborate and always perfect for the song. A lot of it you don’t appreciate since they are buried in the mix but especially the white album and abbey road he was truly at his most creative. Thank you for your videos which highlight these magnificent parts.

I have always wondered about the guitar parts in this section, and have attempted to figure some of it out, but YOU have really done it! Kudos on spending so much time to do this right. I hear now the crystal clear parts that were played on those Epiphones, and "Lucy" the Gibson Les Paul is very well brought back to life here with your Paul, and to see you holding the notes and even sliding down from "C" to "B" as the phrase ends shows the subtle, gentle touch of George. Amazing!

Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight is 100% Bass VI. There is one part in Golden Slumbers where George jumps three octaves quickly so that was easier on bass vi. Probs would have been for a non-bass player like George. Also he has an open G ringing out for it. On a Jazz Bass you wouldn’t have time to let a note ring out and jump.
