This is an unpopular opinion, but for my uses, I prefer the Tab S7+ because I don't want to "upgrade" the firmware beyond Android 11. I have Sony TVs in my house and newer firmware has issues mirroring from Android tablets and phones to Android TVs using Smartview, which is a feature I use quite frequently. It is much better than Chromecast, which is what Google wants everyone to use. Another issue with Android 12 and up is app compatibility with micro sd cards. I have the 512GB Tab S7+ with a 1TB micro sd card and I use all of that storage. That is another advantage for me that the S7+ has. S8+ max onboard storage option is 256GB. I have hundreds of gigs of digital comicbooks and my favorite app to use to read those comics is Comicat. Android 12 and up can't access files stored on memory cards for some reason. The only advantages the S8+ has are improved cameras and longer support for firmware updates for people who want firmware updates. For my uses, the Tab S7+ is a keeper. Even now in 2023 it is running like a champ. I would be interested in the Tab S9 Ultra if issues with the newer firmware were resolved and they weren't going to have that hideous notch around the front cameras.

It's like intel's tick/tock concept with cpus. The s8+ is a _refresh_ rather than a "new" generation of tablet. The significant leaps in Galaxy S-Tab lineage are still s2 to s3 and s6 to s7+

I currently have a S3, but I'm leaning towards the S7+. only because it's more at a top model tablet price. The s8+ is still closer to a mid-range laptop price.

Doesn't seem like enough of a difference for justifying an upgrade from 7 to 8 maybe if you had a version older than 7 it would make sense.

Yo, the speaker sounds better, not too much but enough for me to figure the difference, the tab S8 plus' speaker sounds richer and more bass for me.

I just got my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+256/8 in literally brand new condition. The guy bought it for around a thousand when it first came out, and he used it a few times and just turned it off and put it up in his closet. I paid $300 and I'm fully satisfied. It came with the SPen, the factory charger and all of the literature and box. I love my Tab S7+ and I got it for a steal!

Glad I saw these in-store. The + series size is just right for me. I plan to trade-in a phone for the S7+ or S8+. The best S8 deals ended yesterday, but the S7+ is still under $300 after trade and program discount.

Great video! I traded in my S7plus for the S8 Plus. The deal was too good, Plus 2GB more ram on the newer model and more extended os support. I use my tablet for notes and planning my lessons at the med school. Plus, the front camera and mics are improved.

Will the tab s7+ become slow and poor performance due to lack of updates? Or will it continue to provide the same speed and performance?

Hey brother, is the S8 Plus processor the same as the S 22 Ultra, or is it a dedicated processor for the Tab? In a better way, do they share the same Snapdragon 8 generation 1 processor?

Just ordered s7+ ,here in india price difference is 18,000 almost 200$ ..! Saving 200$ as a student is a better deal ! I also have 2021 ipad pro ..! I didn’t like note taking on it ! Tip of pencil is hard ..I tried spen from s8+ which my brother got and i was impressed ! I usually write 20-35 pages a day !

Great video! Was the Finger Print reader on the Tab S7+ under the screen too? That disappointed me moving from my now traded-in Tab S7 , that was rock solid. This one on the Tab S8+, about 9/10 times I'm finding. Same thing with the Face ID. Like I said, the power button's finger print reader was rock solid on the Tab S7. Love the 12.4" screen, def a step up there. Can't imagine going to the Ultra haha. Maybe do a features Samsung video with all the shortcut tricks? I turned some of those off on my Tab S7, think I want to turn them back on haha.

Confused ! i m student and my priority is note making, watching lectures bit gaming etc , can anyone tell me, I don't know about what updates do and is it worth to choose S7+ over S8+ because I want it for 3- 4 year for my preparation. S7+ get only one upcoming Android update so if I buy S7+ then after Android 13 will it run or what happened after the Android updates attempt over ? please someone guide me ? in sale S7+ price fluctuate between 40k-50k INR .

The screens between the 2 of them aren't the exact same, you can find stuff like this out by finding a part supplier online and see if they list them the same. The s8 plus screen is surprisingly cheaper (right now at least) by ~$30 if that factors into anyone who's looking into buying one of these like me :)

Love the S7 plus use it for so much stuff you do not know. It's a server (internet wifi share) yes you can share your wifi. It's broadcast (music) to all of the rooms in my house. Max out all Bluetooth connections. Use 3 screens yes you can use 3 screens. HDMI connection using for the tv (remote control) and a wifi connection to the other screen (also the tablet screen I can use) so 3 screens at once. Also, it's a big phone, if I want to call at home, anyone can answer it because of the Bluetooth share connection to my house. So anyone does not need to walk to the phone just answer it. I work on it remotely to save and swap files to extern hdd. And so on. However, the battery drain is allot if u use it as I do so (100%) connection is needed or it will drain for 3 hours at least. Spend like 1100 grand on it with keyboard and glass protection(real glass) you can increase sensitivity on this tablet. And I have virtual 3d glasses connected and my remote controller for playing games. plus my mouse is on it. Yeah, everything works out of the box that was the most really no pain issues. If I want to upgrade nope perhaps in about a year of 5. This tablet is a beast. I never ever max out a tablet like this (a great cheap) replacement for a server at my vacation location and home use. For that, I think I stay with android. Sorry bad English I know.

Does anyone have issues when playing videos on their S8 Plus. Like their is a delay/lag when I use MX Player. Like it doesn't skim through video content smoothly compared to my standard phone. I'm currently using an old model of the Galaxy Note 8 and videos play well. For some reason, this is not the case on the TAB S8 Plus. Does any one have any recommendation how to fix this? Is this an issue with MX Player? Surely can't be as I don't have the issue using MX PLAYER on my phone. It must be a hardware problem. Any tips on how to optimise the tablet so I can smoothly play videos/skim through content?

Unfortunately the price difference between a used S7+ (A$900-A$1,000) and a new S8+ (A$1,199) is not that great . Given the S8+ has 2 more Android updates than the S7+ then my money is on the S8+.
