Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Unboxing with a full hands-on review, including a camera test, gaming with Genshin Impact and more. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is a more compact foldable phone vs the Fold 5, and one of the best of 2023 so far. Compared with last year's model, this 2023 upgrade is a proper evolution of an already enjoyable folding mobile. The Samsung Z Flip 5 serves up a fresh new cover screen packed with great features and actual app support, while that Flex Hinge means a much reduced gap at last! The camera hardware is much the same but some behind-the-scenes processing tweaks mean improved photos in lower light.
Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the Galaxy Z Flip 5, so you can expect smooth sailing even when gaming on Genshin Impact. Battery life however is once again limited by the small capacity cell, so more demanding users may be tempted by the Samsung Z Fold 5 instead.

Ive had the flip 4 since launch and its still great except for one of the bottom bumpers falling off. I wanted to upgrade to flip 5 when I heard of the US trade in deal but turns out the UK deal sucks 😕

Install good lock and then the flip widget.... You can run virtually all apps on the cover screen.... Upgrades this phone from good to great imo

@@craigcloughYou can check any phone shops for a demo and play around with it. I have the RAZR 40 ultra and it is amazing. The compact flip is such a life saver. Most flagship phones knife me in the gut when I bend over or just for fun. Samsung Z flip 5 is the safer bet since you are switching to android. Samsung service is far better than Motorola. Just do it the more you think about it the deal will go away 😊.

Coming from a z fold 3. Yes you can remove the inner screen protector but honestly I don't recommend it unless you really NEED to change it. The inner screen can be easy to scratch from my experience and having that screen protector really helps protect it. My wife has the z flip (1st Gen) and she had no issue with the screen protector but we wanted to switch it because the original one was a fingerprint magnet. We put a new one on from Amazon and it worked great. But overall if you remove it, it will still be fully functional but youd just have to be a little more careful with the screen.

I keep thinking that technology is close to its peak then they drop something that makes me smile now the fold phones have outer screens that challenge most of the phones in my Badger range while they keep looking better. This is awesome. By the way those 4000 steps, I don't blame you if I had a phone that was that expensive I too would have a hard time settling👍👍👍👍👍

My wife has got the z flip3 and it's not aging well. The screen protector started peeling off after 6 months and has a few dead pixels. I don't think folding phones are ready yet

2 completely different beasts. If you want the best specs, cameras, screens with s pen capabilities get the s23 Ultra for sure! If you want a 2 in 1 phone that is portable and light that is about 80 to 90 percent as good, get the FLIP 5.

I switched from the S23 Ultra due to trade in deals, deciding I have two weeks to decide on going through with the trade in or returning the flip. At this point, I'm heavily leaning toward keeping the flip. The Ultra has a better battery and camera but the flip is decent. I never go below 50% before going home and charging on the way home I'm almost at 100%. That said, comparing the two is apples to oranges. People don't buy foldable phones to get the best hardware, they like the utility of a flip/foldable phone.

I had the RAZR 2020 then the 2022 stupid me bought the ultra,I pre ordered flip 5,I should have learnt with the 2 prior models the 2020 got 2years end of support the 2022 still on Android 12 no one can tell us when we will get new os,I have the ultra now it's a wonderful phone but I don't trust Motorola when it comes to os updates and security updates this is why I'm selling it counting my loses and jumping to Samsung at least the will roll out the updates,my son's flip 3 has had more updates than my 2older razrs put together and he's getting another os update currently Android 13..Stay clear from Motorola trust me...

I love this phone but I don’t like the google map. It’s not accurate in showing directions. Apple Maps is the best. The most important for me in a phone is maps because I’m using it for my work. To travel and meet up clients. Sadly I can’t get android phones because their google map is not accurate though. I don’t use a phone for games, camera or apps. I only use a phone for my work use only. It’s very important for my daily work. I only use it for calls, texts and especially maps. That is all. At the end of a hard day’s work I will put my phone aside when I get home. I don’t play with my phone like other people does. It’s mainly for my work as my work depends on it. Not interested in any phone’s functionality, speed, pixels or camera though……

Flip phones are definitely the future for smart phones as there nothing worse than carrying a 6 and half inch of glass and plastic in one's pocket but they need to get the price down by at least half

Warning for future flip phone users, the flip has 2 issues, 1 The screen protector will only last 6 mths and 2 if the bottom 2 bezel bumpers fall off or are damaged the whole screen will need to be replaced to fix them. Without them, the folding will be loud and can cause damage.

IPhone -> Samsung Transition. Help? Aside from my iPhone, ihave an iPad, Airpods, Apple Watch, Airtags and the Apple Credit Card. It won’t affect me much if I stop using Apple Pay. I’m okay with GPay, and not using my Apple Card anymore. However, I guess one of my biggest concerns is Airtag. I have 4 airtags that I use for my luggage and keys. I have been using the Find My app. I am not sure if there’s an equivalent for that for Android. If there is, that might help solifidy my decision. For my Airpods, I guess I could still try to return them. I have the Airpods Pro 2 that I bought from Amazon last Prime Day. But I am wondering if I stick to regular bluetooth headphones, will I be able to command a “Siri” on my Samsung phone? I have a 5 year old Series 4 Apple Watch. I don’t find myself using it as much. I realize that If I do use it, I would need an iPhone to fully utilize it. I am sticking to iPad, though. I have tried the Galaxy tab and I personally like the iPad more. Are all of these too much of a hassle? Do I just stick to Apple for now? Need some advice. Thank you. NO HATE PLS :(

For your first question, look up something called Tile. It's similar to airtags except its for Android. For your second question you should be able to use voice commands depending on what kind of Bluetooth headset you purchase. You would pair them with your phone first and whenever you want to get your phones attention you just say 'Hey, Google'. You can always buy a galaxy watch, they're not bad actually, my husband has one and he enjoys it. If you live in the States, you can sometimes get a deal on watches by adding a new line to your account (I have T-Mobile and I was offered one today) I'm not sure about Verizon, or AT&T. Hope I helped 😊
