Does this work fine with Netflix/Disney plus 5.1 audio ? I currently have a LG sj2 and it doesn't support it, I get no dialogue watching films/tv shows and need to constantly switch back to original audio on Netflix. Disney plus I had to reduce the video quality which also reduces the audio from 5.1.

I ended up going for the Q800A instead of this as Curry’s did a deal where it came with the 9500s wireless rear speakers for free. Excellent video review though

Just purchased this and was amazed at the sound quality when playing music (try Never Going Back Again by Fleetwood Mac - you can feel the guitar strings). Was concerned about bass levels as I previously had an old Bose Lifestyle system and the bass was incredible. While this isn't quite in that league, it was not disappointing with nice rumble and decent thumps. You need to jack up the bass level in the equalizer, set the woofer level to +6 and turn on enhanced bass in the advanced settings. The atmos effects are OK but really depends on the content - some feels spacious while others didn't and the soundstage feels narrower. Q-symphony is cool but really couldn't tell the difference. Agree, for the money this is a great piece of kit.

I ended up going for this bar over the Q600A and Q800A. For $150 more over the Q600A it was worth it but the The Q800A is an additional $500 more CAD for $1150 so I didn’t think it was worth it. The Q-Symphony goes well with the QN90A and this bar! Dolby is a must!

I'm looking to replace my Sony sound bar but see conflicting information on whether this supports built in chromecast. I read somewhere that the support for chromecast built in maybe regional base. I am in Canada so just wanted to check with you to see if you can get chromecast built in?

@@jiayaw I’m not sure about that. I am from Canada as well. I’ve never tried it with chromecast. Airplay works good, you can use it either as bar alone or with the tv and if it’s Samsung it’s got q-symphony which it makes it better, as for Alexa it doesn’t have it but however my Samsung tv has it built in to make up for that and they’re both in sync the bar and tv. If chromcast was similar like that I wouldn’t fret about that.

How you think about this product for computer usage? Compare your stereo speaker? I think 90cm long soundbar just too big for 27" display. Stereo system or something like Z906 speaker might be better. Will you recommend this one over than stereo system or real 5.1 system.

Yes, I think it's way too big. Look into bookshelf speakers such as active ones from Edifier, or a PC soundbar, such as the Creative Katana V2

First of all, thanks for the great review, but I have a question. I have a 55-inch Sony screen that only supports arc and does not support e arc. Does the soundbar output support Dolby Atmos output, and I mean by this the other output of HDMI, because I will install a TV box on sound bar to play movies on it and I want the sound quality Full of movies that support Dolby Atmos HD and DTs HD

Yes you won't have an issue in this department; obviously, eARC would be best for uncompressed data, but you'll still get Atmos etc :) Glad you liked the review!

Have you tried the Samsung q600b? I already got and returned 2 of it. The issue being the HDMI ARC disconnects and it doesn’t read the dolby contents after opening it up. It does work initially out of the box but then suddenly disconnects

Hey i have a short question. I want to buy a soundbar from samsung, because of their good quality and there´s actually a cashback promo in germany. But I don´t know which one I´m struggeling between the 900a for 450 euro or 310 euro for the 700a. Is it worth to spend 140 euros more for the 900a?

I’ve been broken between this and the lg-sp8ya (both available at a similar price) currently i have a crappy 2.1 sony bar that sounds extremely narrow and want a better soundstage (especially w atmos) while also getting better dialogue and cleaner bass, any suggestions? Thank you!

So treble is the higher frequency sounds while bass for low bass ? Sorry for the dum question ! Am getting my first sound, while I can't find my best sound system for budget with surround sound capabilities I found a soundbar with Dolby atmos to be my best bet... I found the q700a over here for around 270 usd with subwoover 3.1.2 did price drop or sth ?!... and is this better than say a 4.1 sound bar such as LG snh5 ? In which department does this lack ??.... Already subbed..

Treble is indeed the higher frequencies, and bass is the overarching term both the mid- and sub-bass. Not a silly question at all! As for your question; I've not tried the LG so can't comment but would certainly recommend the Q700A!

Would you pick this soundbar or the Samsung HWS800B 3.1.2Ch. Bought the Sony HT-G700 but as I find it's Dolby abilities are weak and I find voices hard to hear I will be returning it and choosing between the the Samsung Samsung HWS800B 3.1.2Ch or the one you have reviewed in this video.

I got a great deal on a like new q700b and rear speakers. I always wanted the q990 but settled on a great deal for a q900c and rear speakers. I like it but for me the 700b sounds 98% as good. I wouldn't buy the 900c again. The q700 is the best value on a good sounding soundbar. Look for samsung refurbished, both of mine were pristine and came in a Samsung box for 1/3 to 1/4 the price. Also the rb96b and rc96c rear speaker from the q930 will work with the other q soundbars and they're cheap on ebay.

JBL has more bass, while the Samsung better mids (when set correctly), so really depends as to what you prioritise.
