For those who are tossing up between whether they should buy a single bar or a bar with a subwoofer, I can give you my experience. I have a 2021 55" Q80A QLED TV in a bedroom environment. I originally purchased the "2021 Samsung S Series HW-S60A 200W 5 Channel Soundbar" which had no subwoofer. It was good. But for me personally, I didn't like the output of the bar as it felt narrow? It sounded more centered. It didn't fill the room as it said it would. I then ended up changing to the HW-Q700A (as seen in this video) and this product is definitely a lot better in terms of sound output, clarity, sound detail including the bass. It also has the Q Symphony feature which includes more surround sound from your tv speakers. It's very light but contributes really well. If your TV has Q Symphony, then definitely get a bar that allows it to have this feature.

Just got mine to upgrade from my 4 year old hw-m360 samsung soundbar, love it so far. Still haven't explored all it's options and features but so far loving it. The clarity is amazing on it, don't think many other soundbars have such good clarity from testing others in Best Buy. And the bass is not the best, doesn't get that low, my other $130 vizio soundbar gets lower and louder bass then it. But I live in a apartment building so I don't need insane bass. Overall I like it, atmos is decent enough to tell its there based on my bluray test. I say it's a buy if you value clarity, but if your a bass head maybe you should go with a JBL soundbar.

Bought this soundbar yesterday. I really like the sound and it does get loud. I agree the bass is a little on the quiet side unless u turn it up really loud. It’s good for me tho cuz this soundbar is for a small room. Maybe a firmware update can improve bass

Great review right now is £399 in the UK reduced by £300 off on the Black Friday sales so I’m thinking of getting it to replace my 10 years old Panasonic Dolby Digital sound bar, which still sounds amazing and very powerful with a very powerful wired subwoofer & great sounds separation , but I have a 65inch Nano cell back light led TV & the old Panasonic sound bar works flawlessly with my TV, the only main reason for upgrading it would be for the Dolby Atmos Soround sound, but if it won’t work to its full potential as my TV is not Samsung is an LG TV, then what do I buy? Any suggestions please cheers and peace ✌️

Nice review thank you we just picked up the Samsung Q 700 in the set up was so easy all you have to do is powered on and it’s just said itself up that was really nice I also agree that the base could be a little louder but we did go into the settings and turn the bass up +6 and then turn the Trevor down to -2 turn the front to -2 turn the center speaker down to -2 that helped a whole lot it sound really good the bases popping then But depending on your room size adjust the speaker on the sound bar in the subwoofer volume levels accordingly and you will hear the bass boom

People the bass is fine just turn the sub up to plus +6 and go into the Samsung app and turn on the bass enhancement and you'll see the sub perform.

You can add bass boost to the bar to fix the bass issue. The bar also supports Chromecast. And yes since your Samsung is older your not going to get the best experience unless you get a q-symphony qled capable tv with atmos or dts which ever you chose. I have this same bar with my QN90A 55 it’s a match made in heaven with my series x.

I'm returning the jbl 5.1 for this. As much as I love low base nothing like newer tech.

Sent it back..base/treble adjustment is non existant to include smartapp equalizer..sounds treble heavy with a tinny sound..my review on Amazon.

You didn't adjust the settings properly, you need to adjust the bass on your tv as well as the soundbar.
