Let's find out while comparing it to it's older cousin, the Note 20 Ultra (4500mAh), Snapdragon 888 buddy - Xiaomi Mi 11 (4600mAh), Google hater - Huawei Mate 40 Pro (4400mAh), and efficient iPhone 12 Pro Max (3687mAh) in this Real Life 100%-0% Battery Drain Test!
ALL PHONES SET TO WQHD+ (native) Resolution and 60Hz REFRESH RATES to keep things even! With TWO Snapdragon 888's, 865+, Kirin 9000, and A14 Bionic Chipset, the results are VERY Interesting!
All Phones are Set to the SAME Brightness (Using a LUX Meter).
I Run through 15 APPS which include System Apps, Media Apps, Social Media Apps, Benchmark Apps (to simulate High Performance Gaming), and Games. Intervals are clocked every 30 Minutes and at each interval I show the Percentage of each phone as well as their Degrees in Celsius using an Infrared Heat Gun!

The BIG question - Nick, where is the iQOO 7 and Oppo Reno 5 Pro? Well, there's a special phone coming to the channel next week and I'll be doing ANOTHER drain test with that new phone alongside the iQOO, Oppo, S21 Ultra, and Mi 11 at FHD + Max refresh rates so stay tuned✌️ It just didn't make sense to include the iQOO and Reno here since they don't have QHD displays and too many phones could be a lot to take in with this kind of test. Please do a battery test between S21 ultra Exynos vs Snapdragon variant.

Just look around and you will find several tests done with the exynos version against iphone 12 pro max and the exynos has come out the victor in all those tests (even with the S21 Ultra being set to 120hz WQHD+). Seems exynos comes out with the better battery life this time over snapdragon.

Snap and Exynos are now produced by Samsung in its 5nm process. ;) This is why they both throttle.

@@4rshhh yes n r rite i am noticing too when i watched receently latesst comparison videos on youtube .. i think exynos is superior thistime all round.. i was shocked how it handled heavy games stable at 60 fps while snapdragon888 was having variable rates btw 50 - 60fps .. and yes exynois managed better overall throttling too .. so for me this time exynos wins easily ooverall.

No, screen specifications is the major battery dissipation, which pushing 120hz on ultra vs 60 hz with full HD on iPhone and Huawei. Someone calibrated ultra at 60hz in full HD same as iPhone, smoked iPhone on battery test.

On daily use, 8 hours SOT is fine... So Apple is still the king of optimization..., slim flat design with smaller battery can go toe to toe with 4500+ mah battery. Same as RAM, it doesn’t need 16 ng of RAM to beat Super Androids..., 6 gb RAM is more than enough. Let’s see how it will stack up with S21U on speed test.

@@COVID-eq5hh it does, but most tech youtubers who addressed this said it's probably due to Apple not wanting people to think their battery dropped compared to last year's. From what I've seen, using 4g, the 11 and 12 have similar battery life, but with 120hz and 5g added at the same time, the difference definetely could be felt easily. Still, it's a bit funny to think their flagships are 60hz in 2021 as well

I'm queries why on a lot of battery tests the refresh rate are set at 60hz on all of the phones, since the high refresh rates are one on the main selling points for those phones and one of the main criticisms of the iPhones especially compared with other flagships. Great video. I would like to make one suggestion and that is that you should set the phones to the same resolution or closest resolution. I use my Galaxy s21 with 60htz and 1080p and get more battery life out of it. Thanks for taking the time to make this video 📹. Patience is a virtue

@Agwali It can but not by much at all. It doesn't because the pixels the screen is pushing doesn't change. It does affect battery by a tiny extend because it has to process more information on what to display.

That's not android phone companies optimization fault or it's not like apple have great software developer and samsung or huwai didn't have. Android and ios have different kernal version, android is more resource hungry so it needs more ram. More ram means more power. But android companies fixed that problem by giving more ram and battery. Actually samsung and huwai have a great display. Samsung have WQHD panel. Though it performs well. And SD888 is new chip so it’s not optimized wait 2 or 3 month then check what happen 🙄

Actually 5nm processers are not good at temperature control, but when you buy a Snapdragon 888 with 699 dollars, just forget the heat on your hand cuz it warms your wallet up.
