I’m probably one of very few fans who happily welcome the sale of Dougie for these 2 cracking prospects plus money, Iling Jnr looks incredible and Barrenechea looks like he’s got potential, 2 players with high ceilings and supply us with extra squad depth and PSR compliance. I'm with you Mick. It's not like Dougie was kicking and screaming not wanting to leave. He didn't want to stay and I think his girlfriend has a lot to do with that and that is drama we don't need. Just glad we didn't bring in McKennie. UTV!

I agree mate I’m happy with this deal , these players have great potential! I think dougie is to weak in the tackle, makes lots of silly fouls !! I think the Italian league will suit his game !!! I want a tough tackling box to box midfielder , I think we were abit soft to play against last season

Absolutely buzzing! We all could be wrong but got a gut feeling these could both be huge surprises this season in the prem. Iling-junior tall and strong and great passing weight, barranchea great reading of the game and amazing at interceptions and can spray the ball too. Both of these players will make us instantly more dangerous and diverse UTV love your vids Luke!

Agree, think when they get to grips with what’s being asked of them, the both will make us less bothered about losing Dougie!. Iling Jnr looks like he will surpass Dougie imo UTV

As a Juve fan I can tell you that Illing Jr. is not strong at all! He got muscled off the ball easily! However, that part of his game will come with more experience and he has the dribbling and passing skills to be great!

I’m thinking maybe barrenechea will possibly be that kamara back up player since kamara is obviously out for a few more months. Hopefully we get kamara back soon. I wonder if tielemans will be our new starter in the double pivot that is kind of our most important part of the midfield

I think if we do get Baena or return Grealish then we'll have a dedicated left winger and SIJ will be backup there. Second winger alongside Diaby/Bailey would be amazing. Enzo I'm thrilled about, LOVE having a good Kamara backup, was the main thing I wanted from the transfer window, and now we have two relatively young DMs with potential to grow even from what they already are! Thanks Dougie for everything and thank you now for getting us two brilliant players! UTV

I think Illing-Junior will turn into a beast he’s English, knows Ramsey and Rogers from the U21, scored 2 goals Vs Holland U21 playing LB, now we are in June I think we’ll get 1 or 2 big signings, think we’ll get a top CB and CM, I’d love Nico Williams but I’ve read his wage demands are ridiculous that’s why Chelsea pulled out of the deal, can see us going for Banea as his price isn’t as expensive as first thought

I think these players coming in was very dependent on the fact we needed to comply with PSR and also the players Juventus had. I’m sure we’ll get the right business done. Plus Maatsen is a proven player

@@TheSmithylicious Yeh you’re right this PSR really is blocking anyone being able to mount a seriouszz challenge to overthrow the big boys! On the plus side it does mean we need to work harder off the field on the commercials which should give us more long term stability rather than do a Leeds and go big then go….down 😂

Both have very high ceilings. In Unai's hands, the sky is the limit. Last season, Rogers got injured, and we had to play Cash in MF, purely due to the small squad. Would have preferred the likes of Illing to have been there

Shame to see Dougie go but he developed into a great player and we’ve now got some money and 2 other prospects to develop. Also Maatsen is going to be a baller. Lots of positives and key players coming back from injury. Let’s go

That dougie video the club put up brought a tear to my eye !! Wish dougie all the best will watch Juventus play see how he’s getting on!! But Emery lost patience with dougie , he was very poor in second half of the season, I think we need a hard tackling Roy Keane type of midfielder

Moreno wants to go back to Spain (home sick) Al Hilal want Digne. I think they may have an issue with the amount of foreign players they have so perhaps that needs to be sorted 1st. We've been linked with their RB Saud Abdulhamid so perhaps a 2 way transfer happens there? They have Miliinkovic Savic, Ruben Neves, Mitotic, Renan Lodi and Neymar so if they need to let 1 go to get Digne in.......... 😂

Enzo is already better than Kamara. Kamara needs more consistency. Too many goofs playing out of the back. Kamara and Emi arent always on the same page.

On the plus side We now have at least a back up option to Kamara. Dougie gets replaced anyway imo, but without having Barrenechea come in, I don't think We'd have signed anyone in that role. We start the season minus Kamara, so We will get to see if he can handle it.

Glad Luiz has gone! Not creative or dynamic enough for me! Pedestrian like a lot of Brazilians, too laid back! I'm hoping we get rid of Massive Mistake Every Match Mings too! Look how better Villa have become WITHOUT Mings! And out Own Goals have disappeared!! Mings scored about 4 own goals a season! Get rid Unai!
