Ridgecrest has some of the nicest facilities, it seems as though the employees are even giving some extra human attention to the little ones, they are so friendly and brave!:)

She is BEAUTIFUL! She looks pretty healthy too (a decent weight, her coat is shiny, no runny eyes/nose) which is great! And she’s so calm and curious, at first you wouldn’t even think she hasn’t been handled haha. I can’t wait to see how she turns out!

She reminds me of my little feral paint mare. Unhandled but super personable and curious. She has some real personality, SUPER gentle - loves kids.

I like the name Billie for her, ngl comes from you calling her kid while unloading. Billy the kid popped into my head and Billie would be an interesting name for her.

It's so interesting to me that mustangs can be completely different from each other. You could get one mustang that doesn't let you touch them for a few days, and one mustang like this that lets you pet her face within 24 hours. I love watching you work with the mustangs and give them homes! good job sam!

In my family we consider two whirl horses special and good luck. They are rare, and the absolute BEST horses we have ever bred or owned had two whirls💕

That is so exciting! Devil's Garden Mustangs are AMAZING! I just got my first mustangs from there on July 16 of this year. My mare is 7 and she is so docile and is a thinker. Her little colt that came with her is the same way. I can't wait to watch her journey with you!!

Concerning whorls: "I'm not a fan of rough training methods in general, but if you use them on a high-whorl individual, you'll probably traumatize and wreck that animal," she says. "You also need to be especially careful not to frighten a horse with high whorls. That's the key in horse training, anyway--to avoid traumatizing the animal in the first place."--Temple Grandin

If two whorls indicate a problem personality then I'm in trouble because I have two cowlicks on my head. As an aside, there is some indication if a human baby is born with three or more cowlicks it has a higher chance of aberrant brain development. They don't know why that is.

lovely solid mare! Dont pay too much attention to whorls! i had a big hearted bombproof mare with 2 whorls.. lived 30 years & best horse ever.

I would say to ignore the double whirl for now and don't go in with any preformed mindsets (it could color how you interact with her). The fact that she is curious is a good thing. A curious nature implies that she has an active mind. Engage that mind and use her curious nature to your benefit. An Intelligent horse can be a handful if they have a bad attitude, but she seems genuinely sweet. I think you will enjoy this one!

It wasn’t a mustang but I stayed up till 12 at night waiting for my current horse to arrive home. He traveled like 4 hours to get to my barn
