I met my DnD group because of the CR SDCC panel last year, and to be able to attend the panel this year with my DM, Caleb, and one of my party member, Adair, all of us in cosplay, and for us to all be able to ask questions to our storytelling role models… absolutely incredible. I will never forget the moment Caleb and I squeezed each other’s hand before we went up to the mic. I’m so grateful for the Critter community and for what it has given me. When Talesin was talking at 23:40 about symbols on the back of his jacket that are two arrows facing one way, a circle in the middle and two arrows facing the other way, that makes me thing of forwards, backwards, and a play/pause button. So yeah, if he figured out what that means, we can get a punk boy hopping through time!

Dude! It felt like watching 5 minutes when Robby suddenly said 'Before we wrap thing up'! Where the heck went the rest of that hour long video?! Could watch this 8 hours straight, so funny and interesting !

I was in the first row and I thought the cast was always looking straight at me. Then I realized that they were looking right at the on stage monitors. But I pushed that notion aside and just let myself live in my own canon that I was a part of the cast and they were taking right to me. This panel was amazing. This was my first time attending the panel at SDCC because normally I was Hall H bound. But because of the strikes I was able to come to this panel instead. My family panel camped all day but it was totally worth it. There was never a dull moment!

I think this is my first comment on KZfaq ever, but it's worth it to basically say y'all do more than I think you realize; storytelling is such an incredibly important part of the human experience since prehistory, but also you all are so good about inspiring the importance of love and kindness to your fellow human. Anyone who has been through cancer treatment knows it's a lot of just waiting and for chemo that infusion is many hours (only 8 for me perks of only being 28 I guess, but some of the friends I made in oncology have 12-16). You guys make it so much easier and as parasocial as it may be, it feels like a group of friends that are there to help me get through. Keep being awesome.

hearin Marisha talk about Laudna form of dread made to scare Travis I rembered a folk tale from my country: La dama tapada better translated as the Cloaked Lady or the Veiled Lady. Is a woman with an alluring presence, with a veil over her face dressed in fancy deep blue or black dress, from far away she looks gorgeous and mysterious, and has on her a sweet parfume that beckons you to her. She goes after men late at night that have been drinking too much, ignoring their wives or cheating on them, when a drunk guy catch a glimpse of her and her aroma is felt, they man is locked in a trance like state and will follow the Veiled Lady anywhere she goes, she will take them trough the streets and between dark alleys, around parks until there is noone else around, she will allure them to kiss the guy in solace only for the guy to find out when properly facing her, that the sweet aroma turns to rot, and the veil is removed to see the visage of a putrecent sallow corpse of a woman that screeches to his victim shattering all sanity that her victim would have leaving a convulsing man on the floor, frothing from his mouth. At the next morning people would find the guy ethier, collapsed and unconsious with terror in their eyes, disoriented, concussed and with heavy memory loss or mostly common dead, drowned in their own vomit. At first before realizing Laudna form of dread was inspired by Delilah I used to think she somehow was inspired by this folktale, I know it was farfetched but it was fun to think it was so anyway.

Talison is so freaking wholesome and makes me just feel so happy. ☺️

51:00 I think also when a concept is sprung, like "can I do X?" it's ok or preferred to shoot them down but if the player comes with the idea between sessions, you gotta at least try to explore if it can work. but then again - stuff like Orym tying up a monster and dropping the rope in a machine, restraining it in a massive setpiece? I can't imagine there were rules set up for any machinery or how the rope would interact but instead a moment of inspiration was made manifest within the game world without a care for "does this break the rules?" and you love to see it.

God I love these people. Not only because they tell amazing stories but because they are truly inspiring. They're all just normal people and normal friends who have built something beautiful with there passion. It truly makes me want to strive to their levels of success and be as charismatic and loving as them.

When I came across Crutical roles panel fromSDCC 2023, I was not expecting Robbie Daymond to be the host. I recently watch the English Dub of the Wano flashback arc in One Piece telling the story of Kouzaki Oden and it was amazing. Robbie's performance was amazing and I fell in love with the character and understand why nearly everyone in Wano loved him so much and are still loyal to him and his family even 20 years later in present day. Just sucks Oden is no longer around in present day so we can see more of the character and Robbie's performance as Kouzaki Oden. "Oden wouldn't be Oden, if it wasn't boiled!!!" 😢❤

I miss going to San Diego for ComicCon, but now even more that I could see my favourite gamers in person. You did so well in the vast amount of energy that is SDCC every year, and were everything that an attendee could hope for. Robbie was a fantastic host, and all the cast were so genuine, yet still kept the appropriate amount of professionalism to make for a magical moment for everyone.

I feel like only Sam would be like "oh he's announcing matt mercer they forgot me. GUESS I'LL MAKE A TIKTOK OUT OF IT."

I find myself near breathless with appreciation that you all share your gaming nights with us. For so many years, and those years separate the instances of dnd game nights, as I have in my life written some stories(notclassically published) and some stories of fanfiction, but I LOVE the give and take of stories between writers and story tellers. The sharing of inspiration and responses between people turns into a classic drama class of Improv, when a CLAP halts everything and any of the storytellers might be tagged out and replaced with someone else taking that exact moment and by adding their own inspiration and idea of where to take action, or are inspired to go in different directions. I like seeing how people are inspired in different directions... And once upon a time, I thought I was the only one who loved watching people playing these games and verbally telling stories and playing off each other.
